Vickie Neal Obituary

Vickie Diane NealSarepta, LAVickie Diane Neal, age 66, went to be with our Lord on May 7, 2023. She was born in Bossier City on April 25, 1957 to Melvin and Pat Cater. She married her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Charles Neal on October 2, 1976. They made a home in Sarepta, had three children, twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Vickie was a dedicated and loving mother. She treasured every moment with her family and friends; she adored being around them. She especially loved her role as Mimi. Her grandchildren gave her the greatest joy. Vickie was a dedicated member of New Sarepta Baptist Church. She loved people, was a friend to all, and was invariably willing to help and give to others. She had a vivacious personality and always had a smile on her face. She wanted everyone to feel loved and special. There was nobody sweeter than Vickie. Vickie is survived by her beloved husband of 46 years Charles Neal; her daughters Kristie Farley and Dana (Kevan) Pool; and her son Brandon (Chrystal) Neal. She is also survived by her mother Patsy Cater of Sarepta and brother Doug (Cynthia) Cater of Shongaloo. She leaves behind twelve grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. All of these she loved and touched deeply. She was preceded in death by her father, Melvin Cater; and her grandparents Lewis and Mittie Matlock, and John and Nancy Cater. Visitation will be held on Tuesday May 9, 2023 from 5:00-7:00 pm at New Sarepta Baptist Church, Sarepta, LA. A celebration of Life for Vickie will be held on Wednesday May 10, 2023 at 10:00 am at New Sarepta Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Old Sarepta Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA.
