Vernon Eugene "Brownie" Poole, 90, of Edinburg, VA passed away Sunday, May 7, 2023, at Shenandoah Memorial Hospital. A graveside service will be held Friday, May 12, 2023, at 12:00pm at Sterling Cemetery, 45835 W Church Rd, Sterling, VA 20164. Mr. Poole was born June 19, 1932, in Sterling, Virginia, son of the late Frederick James and Bertha Josephine Bradford Poole. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Ralph Poole, Helen Shaffer, and Shirley Mason. Vernon is survived by his wife of 43 years, Delia "Dee Dee" Poole; and son, James "JP" Poole of Edinburg. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Shenandoah County Animal Shelter, 268 Landfill Road Edinburg, VA 22824.
