Verna Mae Waddell Cornett, age 89, of Johns Creek, GA, formerly of Hindman, KY, passed away Wednesday,October 4, 2023, surrounded by family. She was born in Hindman, KY on June 17, 1934 to Crady Waddell and Mallie Everage Waddell. Verna Mae was a longtime employee for the Bank of Hindman and she also worked for Thacker-Grigsby Telephone Company. She was a member of the Hindman First Baptist Church, Eastern Star and Beta Sigma Phi.
