Robert L. Nelson, 75, of Warren, PA, passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2023 at the Warren Manor following many years of struggling with dementia and Parkinson's. He was born in Warren, PA on August 10, 1948, to the late Gunnard Norman Nelson and Mary Frantz Carlson. Bob was in the class of 1966 at Warren Area High School. He enlisted in the United States Army in June of 1966 and was honorable discharged in June of 1969. On February 16, 1980, Bob married Sandra A. Host. They designed their own home and Bob, family and friends constructed one of the last Ridge Homes on Hemlock Road in 1981. Later on, he became a salesman for Means Lumber, Regal Lumber and Oneida Lumber retiring in 2010. Bob "Bucky", enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, listening to Pink Floyd, and was known for his one liners which always brought a smile to everyone's face. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sandra A. Nelson; one child, Carrie E. Nelson of Allison Park, PA; his siblings, Judith Crothers, Valerie (John) Schultz and John Scott (Diane) Nelson; his sister-in-law, Lisa Nelson and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Terry Nelson. Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. A memorial will be held at a later date. William "Bill" George Carlett (1939-2023) Bill, Dad, Papa (age: 84) of Youngsville, PA took a journey to be with loved ones on November 3, 2023 in Warren, PA after a valiant battle with cancer. "In his own words", he was born in a chicken coop on North Main St. in Youngsville, Pa on January 5, 1939 to the late Henry "Hank" Carlett and Charlotte Carroll Carlett. Bill graduated from Youngsville High School in 1956 and attended Jamestown Community College. He worked at the National Forge Company, retiring as Marketing Manager in 1997 after 38 years of service. He also worked as a local realtor for many years. He was a past member of the Saron Lutheran Church, Masonic Lodge 547, local Lions, Kiwanis, Eagles, Moose clubs, Youngsville Borough Planning commission, chairman of the Youngsville Zoning and Hearing Board, President of the Youngsville Sports Booster, coach for the boys Hot Stove baseball league, coach for Ladies Valley Softball League. Bill is survived by his children, Bob Carlett (Cathy) of Summerville, SC, Vonnie Carlett (Lin) of Youngsville PA, Suzanne Turner (Ron) of Youngsville, PA, his grandchildren, Katie Carlett of Springdale, PA, Zach Turner of Jacksonville, FL, Nate Carlett of Summerville, SC, Brodie Turner (Tiara) and great-granddaughter, Avery, of Youngsville, PA. He is also survived by his two brothers Jim Carlett (Paula) of Lakeland, FL and Tim Carlett of Austin, TX. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Anita Holcomb Carlett, in 2004. Friends will be received on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 from 5-7 pm at the Nelson Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 314 North Main St in Youngsville and a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at 11 am. Elizabeth A. "Biz" Olds, 93, of Sugar Grove, PA, passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at UPMC Chautauqua. She was born on March 13, 1930, in Meadville, PA, a daughter to the late Walter and Blanche (Doubet) Chisholm. After high school graduation, Biz attended Jamestown Business College and worked as a medical secretary for Hamot and Warren State Hospital, then as a secretary for the Warren County District Justice Suzanne Hodges' office. Biz was an auxiliary member of the Lander VFD and United Methodist Church, and also drove school bus for many years. She enjoyed baking, cooking, canning and reading but most of all, she loved to gather with her family and friends. Biz and John raised their family on a beef farm which they enjoyed together for almost 70 years. She is survived by her daughters, Kathleen (Thomas) Hanson of Warren, PA and Carol (Michael) Steppe of Keuka Park, NY; her grandchildren, Matt (Anna) Yeskey, Benjamin (Jody) Yeskey and Virginia Olds; her great-grandchildren, Dylan and Morgan Yeskey and Josh Sullivan and a few close relatives, Kim and Darin Brown. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of those who came into her home to make sure she was well taken care of. James R. Jameson, 78, of Youngsville, PA, passed away on October 15, 2023 at Kinzua Healthcare in Warren, PA. He was born on April 12, 1945, in New Castle, PA, a son to the late Robert and Ruth (Edie) Jameson. In 1956 his family moved to Erie and eventually to Youngsville where he spent the rest of his life. Jim graduated from Youngsville High School in 1963 and then enlisted in the US Army on Sept. 1, 1965 and was honorably discharged on August 15, 1967. He then went to work at Osram Sylvania for 39 1/2 years, retiring in 2008. He was an active member of the Youngsville Fire Dept. for 53 years, serving in many capacities, including an officer for many years. He was also a member of the Youngsville American Legion Post 658 where he held office of the Commander from 2016-2023 as well as a member of the Honor Guard. Left behind to cherish in his memory are is his loving wife of 55 years, Becky; his two sons, Ron (Pam) and Pat (Billie), both of Youngsville; his daughter, Jenn of Olean, NY; his grandchildren, Samantha (Chad) Saylor of Las Vegas, NV, Shane (Emily) of Warren, Jessica and her companion, Christopher Johnson, of Pittsburgh, Julie of Denver, CO, Logan and Emma, both of Youngsville; his great-grandson, Liam James; his siblings, Dorothy Dutcher of FL and Don Jameson of CA as well as many nieces, nephews and other family members. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his sisters, Katherine Bruner and Jean Jameson. Mary Louise Meyers nee' Carroll, recently of Youngsville, PA passed away peacefully at home October 14, 2023. Mary was born on June 10th, 1943, the eldest child to the late Gerald and Erma Carroll. She is also preceded in death by her husband Thomas Meyers and a sister, Geraldine Grubbs. Mary is survived by daughters, Kimberly Wilson and Jennifer Oberg-Sheckler; siblings, Bonnie Williams, Debbie (Mitch) Brandau, Wayne Carroll, Jeff Carroll, and Barbara Johnson; 3 granddaughters, Myria (Bill Powell) Wilson, Anna (Ryan) Vik, and Sara (Michael) Bogniak; 10 great-grandkids, Jonathan and Emily Bogniak, Morgan and Mason Vik, Tosha, Larry, Adrianna, and Aliauna Powell, and Patrick and Lucus Sheckler; many nieces and nephews; and long-time friends, Nancy Cooper and Linda Gutknecht. Mary was a graduate of Warren Area High School. She was a long-time employee of Warren General Hospital where she was a Cardio-Technician. Mary was a member of the Irvine Presbyterian Church, their Women's Association Group and a long-time member of the local TOPS Chapter where she served as Secretary. She was very passionate about her family and her church. She enjoyed nature and always made every family get together special. She will be greatly missed.
