Una Parrott Obituary

Una Mae Parrott, 86, of Whitesburg, went to be with the Lord Saturday, April 22, at Signature Healthcare in Rogersville, TN. Una Mae was a long time member of Lee Valley Baptist Church in Whitesburg, and retired from the Hamblen County Board of Education with thirty six years of service. She was preceded in death by her father James Heck and mother Eggie Wice; son Steve Cassell; grandson Steven Cassell; granddaughter-in-law Meghan Adkins; and son-in-law John Phillips and Joey Parrott. Survivors include her husband Joe Parrott of the home; sons Ronnie (Karen) of Whitesburg, Roger of Jefferson City, and Scott (Glenis) of Russellville; daughters Sharon Phillips of Whitesburg, Pam (Fred) Stines of Morristown, and Teresa Adkins of Whitesburg; niece Linda (Rick) Brewer of Talbott; grandchildren Brandon Cassell, Derrick Phillips, Austin Adkins of Whitesburg, Zack Adkins of Morristown, Noah, Jacob, and Jayden Cassell of Jefferson City, and Brielle Cassell of Russellville; great grandchildren Lakin and Ryder Phillips of Whitesburg and Addy Adkins of Morristown; step grandson Johnny Stines and step great granddaughter Madison of Greenville, South Carolina; great nephew Shannon Collins of Morristown; stepchildren Mary Brooks, Billy and Johnny Parrott. Special thanks to the 2nd floor nurses and staff at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare, and special thanks to the staff and Sue Burns at Signature Healthcare. A graveside service for Una Mae will be held 12 noon Friday, April 28, 2023, in Hamblen Memory Gardens, with Rev. Ronald Bunch officiating.
