Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Tabernacle Temple of Jesus Christ, 1601 Bishop L. N. Forbes Street, Wilson, North Carolina. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery. A public viewing will be held Tuesday, September 12, 2023 from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home. Walker; sister, Margaret Neddo and husband, Art; brother, George Walker, Jr. ; sisters, Maureen Maynor Demott and husband, Bill, Patricia Walker; his in-laws, Graham and Becky Wells; brother-in-law; two sisters-in-law; several nieces and nephews, and multiple loving best friends. John was preceded in death by his parents, George J. Walker and Patricia Flaherty Walker and his sister, Kathleen Walker.
