McColl, SC Mr. Charles Graham Sampson passed away Monday, February 19, 2024, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was 73 years old. Mr. Charles was born on May 29, 1950, in Marlboro County, South Carolina to the late Henry Ervin Sampson and Lillie Mae Sampson. He was preceded in death by his parents listed above and his brother, Henry Ervin Sampson Jr. Charles valued working hard and spent over 26 years working as a glassworker at LOF. After his accident in 2001, he focused all of his attention to the things that he loved most: being with his wife and fur baby, riding motorcycles, going for rides in the car, going to Hendersonville, watching westerns, listening to doo-wop and old, southern gospel. Charles attended Living Water Church of God. Most importantly, he loved his family and taking every opportunity to spend time with them. He leaves behind to cherish his loving memory; wife of 52 years, Lorraine Sampson; his special fur baby, Tickle; daughters, Tammie Goff and Sondra Sampson (John Wismer); brother, William “Alton” Sampson (Sharon); sisters, Joyce Burton and Cindy Murr (Danny); grandchildren, Sydney Dubreuiel, Madison Goff, Ashley McCoy, Austin McCoy, Alyssa Holifield (Jeff), Abby Cox (Eli), and AJ McCoy; great-grandchildren; Collins Smith, Holly Long, Axel Blair, John “Nixon” Farrer, Jayden Cox, Tristan Cox and a multitude of friends and family. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Crescent Hospice—especially Shirley Erwin and Jamie Prevatte—for the exceptional and compassionate care given to Charles. McColl, SC James Edward Treff “Happy Feet”, age 56 of McColl, passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at his residence. \ James was born May 1, 1967, in Laurinburg, NC. He was a son of the late Ronnie and Cathy Quick. James worked as a painter. He enjoyed shooting pool and playing darts. Most of all, James enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his siblings. James is survived by his daughters, Jessica Waites (Jonathan) and Britney Treff (Alan Figueroa); his grandchildren, Natalie Treff, Joshua Figueroa, Ariel Figueroa, and James Waites; a niece, Brandy Justice; numerous other extended family members and friends also survive. McColl, SC Jody Lynn Caulder Toney, age 58 of McColl, passed away on Thursday, January 17, 2024, at McLeod Hospice House. Jody was born August 27, 1965, in Bennettsville. She was a daughter of James Edward Caulder, Sr. and Geneva Clark Caulder. Jody was a fun-loving person. She enjoyed shopping and crossword puzzles. She especially loved taking pictures, being on Facebook, and Tik-Tok. Most of all, Jody loved being with her family, especially her nieces and nephews. Jody was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Ed and Mattie Caulder; and her maternal grandparents, Douglas and Sarah Margaret Clark. Jody is survived by her parents, James Edward Caulder, Sr. and Geneva Clark Caulder both of McColl; a brother, James Edward Caulder, Jr. (Lori) of Society Hill; a sister, Lynn Bailey (Johnny) of McColl; special companion, Jack Graham of Bennettsville; nieces and nephews, Ashley Smith, Ansleigh Caulder, Journey Caulder, Stephen Smith, and Jim Bailey; great nieces and great nephews, Harmony Smith, Camryan Jacobs, Dynasti Jacobs, Jalynn Smith, Waylon Smith, Alex Bailey, Ayzleigh Caulder, and Ayztin Caulder; special family friend, Carrie Witherspoon; several other extended family members also survive. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Rogers Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow the service at Hickory Grove Church in Clio.
