Camp Grove – Roberta A. Green, 89, of Camp Grove, passed away at 2:08 p.m. Sunday, February 25, 2024, at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice in Peoria. Roberta was born on March 31, 1934, in Wyoming to Raymond Leo and Emma Ann (Morrissey) Maher. She married Thomas Green on November 17, 1956, at St. Dominic’s in Wyoming. He preceded her in death on August 28, 2011.Surviving are two sons, Thomas (Denise) Green, of Pontiac, Illinois, John (Kimberly Holland) Green of Adel, Iowa; two daughters, Mary Green, of Peoria, Illinois and Kathleen (Christopher) Abel of Brownsburg, Indiana; one daughter-in-law, Marie Green, of Wyoming, Illinois; nine grandchildren, Ann (Ryan) Boarman, Heather (Mitch) Mustard, Emily Green, Tommy (Katie) Green, Christopher (Tricia) Green, Sara, Jennifer, Connor, and Samantha Abel; nine great-grandchildren, Charlie, John Patrick, and Hattie Boarman, Max, Brooks, Isla, and Cooper Mustard, Cade, and Emma Green; and one sister, Christine (Ricky) Cooper, of Glencoe, Illinois. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Timothy Green; and three brothers James, Robert (her twin), and John Maher.Roberta received her teaching certificate in 1954 from Western Illinois University and taught at Princeville and Camp Grove Schools. She was a member of St. Dominic’s Altar and Rosary Society.Her funeral mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 1, 2024, at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Wyoming. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 29, 2024, at Haskell Funeral and Cremation Services in Wyoming. The rosary service will be at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Father Braden Maher will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Camp Grove. Haskell Funeral and Cremation Services in Wyoming is in charge of arrangements.Memorial contributions can be made to OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home or St. Dominic’s Altar and Rosary Society.

He was born on December 9, 1946 in Canton, IL to Ella Margaret (Phillips) Quin. He married Sherril Scott on October 17, 2003 in Canton, IL. She survives.He is also survived by three children, Nicole (Wes) Danner, Tonya (Bobby) Bellamy, and Timothy Billings all of Canton; two grandchildren, Stella Billings of Peoria and Tristan Harper of Canton; and one sister, Bonnie (Quin) Schisler of Lewistown.He is preceded in death by his mother; maternal grandparents that raised him, Arza Wayne and Margaret Anna (Becker) Phillips; and three brothers.Oscar worked for the City of Canton in the street department for 33 years. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards and watching the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Cubs play. He loved spending time with the love of his life Sherril. He also loved spending time with his family and friends.Celebration of life will be held from 11:30 AM – 10:00 PM on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at the Canton American Legion. Gregory Allen Harms, age 66, of Bartonville, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2024 at 4:35 a.m. at the Richard L Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. He was born November 25, 1957 in Peoria to Fred and Beverley (Baxter) Harms. He married Michelle Janosov on April 28, 1979 in Peoria. She survives along with one son, Matthew Harms of Bartonville, nieces Stacy (Tim) Bruce, Keri Graham, along with other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Frederick Harms, Jr, Roger Harms, one sister, Vicki Graham, and one son, Frederick Harms III. Greg worked at Keystone Steel and Wire in the Steel Mill Department as an operator for 41 ½ years. He liked gardening, spending time working on his lawn, woodworking, fishing, and helping out friends and family. Funeral services will be Friday, March 8, 2024 at 11 a.m. at the Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery in Bartonville. Memorials may be made to the Richard L Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.

Dorothy Jean (Kirkham) Stuaan, 86, of Hanna City, Illinois, passed away Friday, February 23, 2024, at Carle Health Methodist Medical Center in Peoria, surrounded by members of her loving family. She was born on September 7, 1937, in Dwight, Illinois, to Roscoe and Julia (Burke) Kirkham. On February 5, 1955, Dorothy married her high school sweetheart, Raymond Stuaan, in Peoria, Illinois; he passed away November 26, 2018. Surviving are Dorothy and Ray’s four children, Lori (Ron) Riekena of Peoria, Illinois, Cindy (Steve) Rilling of Huber Heights, Ohio, Dave (Kim) Stuaan of Bushnell, Illinois, and Jeanie (Scott) Jones of Morton, Illinois; 11 grandchildren, Josh (Holly) Riekena, Tyler (Courtney) Riekena, Phillip Rosenbohm, Robert (Megan) Stanfield, Nathan (Megan) Stanfield, Abbi (Steve) Sothmann, Zach (Kelly) Stuaan, Luke (Alecia) Stuaan, Arin (Karl) Nash, Paige (Chris) Copple, and Haley Varnes; and 26 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is Joanne Moore, her best friend since childhood. Preceding Dorothy in death were her parents, brothers, Ralph Kirkham and Louis Kirkham, and sister, Frances Mitchler. Dorothy worked at the Peoria Southside Mission in administrative offices on Laramie Street and later as a volunteer in the Benevolence Center. For over 25 years, she served the neighbors of the community and provided hope to those in need, warmly welcoming everyone through the front doors with encouragement. As a member of the Hanna City Presbyterian Church, Dorothy was a devout follower of Christ, studying the Word daily. Friendship was also an important pillar in her life, and she cherished time with members of the Club, Red Hat Society, Bible studies, and those near and far who she kept close in prayer. Dorothy will be remembered by the support and love she afforded her family and friends, her determined pursuit of good bargains while shopping, and how joyfully she shared her faith. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 2, 2024, at 11 a.m. at the Hanna City Presbyterian Church in Hanna City, officiated by Pastor David Keithley and Pastor Jay Johnson. Visitation will also be held at the church, beginning at 9:30 a.m. and lasting until the start of services. Burial will be in the St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Bartonville. Michael E. Savage, 79 of Peoria, passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2024 at Methodist Hospital in Peoria. He was born on May 18, 1944 in Peoria, to George and Doris (Jones) Savage Jr. He married Sharon Carmody on December 17, 1968 in Peoria. She survives. Also surviving are their two children, Kelli (Jeffrey) Ball of Guthrie, OK and Chris (Karen) Savage of Lee's Summit, MO; four grandchildren, Mellissa (Neil Dennis) Ball, Cody Ball, Kyle (Fran Zwicker) Ball, and Keeley Savage; two great-grandchildren, Emilee and Bryson; and one sister Georgia Maloney of Ponders, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Gary Savage. Mike served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged in 1968. After leaving the service he worked as a Butcher with John Bee Food Mart in Peoria for over 40 years before retiring in 2006. Mike was a member of the East Peoria American Legion Post 983, where he could be found tending Bar. He also enjoyed walking at Northwoods Mall and spending time with his family and friends. A funeral service will be at 11am on Friday, March 1, 2024 with visitation one hour prior to the service at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Cremation will be accorded following the service at a burial of the urn will be at a later date in Parkview Cemetery in Peoria. Joanie was born to Herman Myles \u0026amp; Maggie Pink in Peoria, IL, they preceded her. Joanie married Maurice Anthony Brown in August 1985 Joanie attended Peoria High School, then went on to serve in the US Army and the Army Reserve. She was employed at Walmart “Wally World” where she started as a front-end cashier, front end supervisor, and Customer Service Manager. Joanie was affectionately known as the Walmart Mom. Her baptism, soul salvation and acceptance of Christ in her life occurred at an early age. She was a faithful member of Rising Sun Christian Church over 20 years of Peoria, IL - Pastor John L. Gibson - serving as the President of the Usher Board and was a member of the United Usher Board. Joanie enjoyed spending time with her family and was the Life of the Party. She was famous for her cooking, baking, making everyone laugh and would dance the night away. She loved music and being a mother figure to all her nieces, nephews, and her Walmart children. She leaves to cherish her life, and memories of her brothers: Herman Joseph Myles of Peoria, IL, and Paul (Brigette) Myles of Phoenix, AZ; her sisters: Icyphine Williams, Georgianna Davis, Elizabeth Slaughter and Kamesha Janet Shields of Buckeye, AZ, Mary Jane Myles of Chicago, IL, Susan (Clifford) Stringer of Peoria, IL, Rhonda Brown of Roseville, MN, Angela Myles-Graham of Glendale, AZ, Valerie Bursey of St Louis, MO; a host of nieces, nephews, two sister/cousins: Katherine (Kat) Thomas and Patricia Smith and two Goddaughters: Teanna Johnson and Kamesha Glore-Sims. Christopher J. Toner, 47, of Peru passed away February 24, 2024 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Funeral services are pending with the Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle. Chris wants people to get together for a Celebration of Life at a later date, have fun, and remember the good times we have had through the years. Chris was born in Peru on June 17, 1976 to William P. and Dolores (Pietrucha) Toner. He worked as an electrician at Pantrol Inc. in Ottawa. Chris lived a life of happiness. Working on his Camaro that he had owned over 25 years. Camping, boating, playing cards, music and being outside were all thing he enjoyed besides work. He was part of Toner DJ services with his brothers. That allowed him to meet many people. He enjoyed trips to Wisconsin snowmobiling and Michigan boating with some of his closest friends. Chris is survived by one sister Beth (Gary) Gingerich of Tonica, two brothers William F. Toner of Peru and Randall (Tina) Toner of Bradenton, FL, nieces, and nephews.
