Harry Lee Bogle, age 81 of Gloucester, VA, formerly of Tazewell, VA, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at VCU Medical Center in Richmond, VA. Born March 19, 1942, he was a son of the late Oakie Harris Bogle and Vangie Mitchell Bogle. Harry worked as a career diesel mechanic and he loved mechanic work. He liked to sing and play guitar with his brother Doug and his friend Clyde Wright and he enjoyed the outdoors. Harry was a very stubborn, independent man who refused to rely upon anyone for anything. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife and the mother of his children, Shirley Bogle; three brothers, Lloyd, Fred and Doug; two sisters, Ruby and Martha.Left to cherish his memory are his two sons, Oakie “Spud” Bogle and wife Paula of the Liberty section of Witten Valley, VA and Stuart “Corky” Bogle and wife Ginger of Gloucester, VA; one daughter, Barbara “Sissy” McNeeley and husband Kevin of Palestine, WV; two sisters, Della Hollins of New Castle, VA and Bonnie Mullins and husband Danny of Newton Falls, OH. Eight grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren also survive. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM, Sunday, February 25, 2024 at Peery & St. Clair Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM with Pastor Jerry Hagerman officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Church Cemetery in the Thompson Valley section of Tazewell, VA. Timothy J. “Tim” Gallagher, 65, son of Cecilia (Brodbine) and Joseph Gallagher of Philadelphia, PA, passed away suddenly on Friday, February 16, 2024. He was the beloved husband of the late Leila Gallagher (Leila Joyce). Devoted father to his sons, Damien L. Gallagher (Samantha), and Timothy R. Gallagher (Lauren); loving grandfather to Kylie, Aidan, Gabrielle, and Kynley; brother of Patrick (Mariann), Cecilia, Margie, Karen (Tom), and Matthew; brother-in-law to James Joyce (Bill); beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews. Tim was a hard-working man, very proud of his work 48 years of service as a pressman. He enjoyed time with his close friends, family, and, most importantly, his grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Lewis Mason, and parents, William Lester “Les” Younger and Mary Fazzi Younger. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Mary Bridget and Michael Murrell, of Glen Allen, grandchildren, Madison Loran Murrell and Robert Tyler Murrell, siblings, William Lester Younger, Jr., Dorothy Younger Richards, and Elizabeth Younger Stevens. We would like to express special thanks to our angel on earth, Cynthia Green, for her exceptional caregiving. Mary Margaret will be remembered for her quick wit, strong will, and her ability to make you laugh. Everyone who knew her adored her sense of humor and the twinkle of mischief in her eyes. He leaves behind a legacy cherished by his loving family: His daughters Tami Lowe (Dwayne Lowe), Beth Wright (Jim Wright), son Earl Harding Price III (Elizabeth “Pumpkin” Price), & His Beloved Dog Corporal Peanut. Along with grandchildren Chasidy Snead, A.J. Hughes, Shanna Hughes, Ryan Powers Jr. (J.R.), Thomas McKenzie Powers (Cookieman), Brooke Linn Premo, Skyler Wright, Earl Harding Price IV (Levi), Grayson Price, and Olivia Maureen Price. Earl’s great-grandchildren, including Ryan L. Powers III (Trace), Reese Powers, Rawlings “Leo” Powers, Reuben Powers, Kenzlee Powers, Baylee Powers, Brantlee Powers, Hallee Mae Premo, Luca Hughes, Lakeyn Hughes, Braelyn Vaughan, and Remington Vaughan (Remi), Sister Roselyn Stell, Brother Bruce Price Sr., and numerous nieces and nephews, and lifelong friend Tommy Staples will continue his memory with love. Preceded in death by his beloved parents, Earl Harding Price, Sr. and Mary Louise Price, and siblings Jerry Price, Peggy Guilliams, Terrie Grissom, and Jannette Gupton, Earl Jr.’s life was marked by service and faith. As a Marine who served valiantly in Vietnam, he exemplified courage and honor. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was unwavering in his faith. Earl H. Price Jr. was more than a man; he was a legend. His memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew him, he will never be forgotten. Valerie Leigh Downing, 56, passed away peacefully in her home in Richmond, Virginia on February 19, 2024. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. Born on June 22, 1967, in Pensacola, Florida, Valerie always loved spending time in the water and at the beach. She also had a deep love of art and music. For many years, she had a career in telecommunications, and spent the last several years working in business development for The Farley Center in Williamsburg, Virginia. Valerie dedicated more than half of her life to helping others in recovery. Her blazing presence, devotion to service, and gift for carrying a message of depth and weight impacted countless individuals. She left a lasting legacy in the recovery community, near and far. She is survived by her husband, Christopher Poels; two sons, Nicholas Olson and Beckett Downing; mother and stepfather, Donna and Gregory Engel; three brothers, Donald Ozburn and his wife, Connie, Timothy Engel and his wife, Kelly, and Eric Ozburn; one sister, Joanna Ozburn; two uncles, Michael Ward and his wife, Gina, and Daniel Ward. She is also survived by four nieces, Jadah and Vanessa Ozburn, Samantha and Alexandra Engel; one nephew, Barrett Engel; her mother-in-law Dana Parks Gray, and sister-in-law, Catherine Washington and her husband, Tony. She is preceded in death by her father, Donald Ozburn. Valerie leaves behind a legacy of fierce love, service, strength, generosity, and wit. There is simply no one like her. She is forever alive in the hearts of those who love her.
