He went on to attend Eastern Shore Community College working on his studies towards one day becoming a Forensic Scientist. Through Lonnie's childhood, he spent a lot of time reading and playing video games. He self educated himself about everything; any question you asked him from the past to the future, he had an educated answer for you. He was recruited into the Cyclists And Recumbents of Eastern Shore known as CARES in 2008 by his Papa Lars. He was passionate about these things because it was what was in his heart. His second love was photography. He and his Papa Lars would go on expeditions every week. Visiting different states, capturing nature's beauty, meeting people and spreading love with their photos. People were quite taken when they met him. Lonnie was quick with a handshake, smile, and long loving hugs. He made an impression on everyone everywhere. If you ever met him, he was sunshine for your day. He had recently found a passion for painting and baking. His baking was sweet treats to help people that couldn't have sugar or wanted to lose weight. His paintings are now statement pieces. Lonnie's whole life was spent helping and serving others. Lonnie was loyal, loving, respectful, honest, an epitome of what a friend should be. Lonnie held a job at Heritage Hall in Nassawadox and then at Oyster Farm Eatery in Cape Charles VA.
