Timothy Dale Sims, age 59, of New Salisbury, IN, went to be with his heavenly father on September 8, 2023. He was born in Washington, IN, on November 13, 1963 to Edward D. Sims and Joan (Rauck) Worrall. Tim attended school at North Harrison High School, class of 1982. Tim worked as a Janitor for Caesars of Southern Indiana. He enjoyed listening to Elvis Presley, sitting outside on the porch, and spending time with his family. Tim is preceded in death by his father, grandparents, Faye and Mary Lee Sims, Louis and Mary Rauck. Timothy is survived by his mother, Joan Worrall, Step Father, Robert Worrall; two sisters, Cathy (Dean) Sonnenberg, Lisa (Chris) Robinson; Brothers, Ricky (Teresa) Worrall, Scott Worrall, Donald (Marsha) Worrall, Dennis (Niki) Worrall; as well as several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 4pm to 8pm on Tuesday September 12, 2023, and again on Wednesday September 13, 2023, from 11am until time of service at Swarens Funeral Home, Ramsey, IN. Funeral services will be held at 12pm on Wednesday September 13, 2023 at Swarens Funeral Home in Ramsey, IN. Burial will take place in the Bethleham Cemetery in Crandall. IN.

Ruby Rosa McDaniel Deaton of New Salisbury, Indiana, went to be with her Heavenly Father on September 21, 2023. She passed away peacefully, listening to her favorite church hymns, with family surrounding her. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, September 28, 2023 at Swarens Funeral Home, Ramsey, IN, with burial to follow at Blue River Church of Christ Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 8 PM and after 9 AM on Thursday at the funeral home. Ruby was born on March 16, 1949, in Richmond, Indiana to Carl and June Musselman McDaniel. She lived a happy and blessed life surrounded by siblings, family, and friends. Ruby was known for her generous spirit, friendliness, happiness, faith, and her infectious smile and laughter. Ruby graduated from Richmond High School in 1967. She attended college at Ball State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education in 1971. Ruby furthered her education and earned her Master's in Special Education in 1975 from Indiana University. In her career, she taught elementary education in Greater Clark County and with Crawford County Community School, as well as worked for the South Central Area Special Education Co-op. Ruby had a lifelong passion, drive, and love for education. She loved all of her students and co-workers. She had an extraordinary gift and love for working with the special education program. Ruby married Larry Deaton on December 22, 1973 in New Washington, Indiana. They were married for 49 wonderful years, and would have happily celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this December. Ruby and Larry loved each other through sickness and in health. They had one daughter, Keyla Renee Bowen, who was Ruby's pride and joy in life. Ruby had said that marrying Larry and having Keyla were the two best things she had ever done in life. Ruby had 3 wonderful grandchildren, Chris, Emily, and Max, that she loved dearly. Ruby earned the title of being a great-grandma, when her great-grandson Jackson was born in January 2023 to her grandson Chris and his wife Megan. Ruby was always so proud of her family members' accomplishments in life. For Ruby, her family and friends were everything. Ruby was the best daughter, sister, mom, Nana, and friend. Everyone was blessed to have her in their lives. The people who knew her wouldn't take a fortune for her, and she wouldn't have taken a fortune for them. Ruby never met a stranger. She had the brightest smile and could light up any room simply by being in it. Ruby left an impact on everyone she met. She always had the kindest words and wisest wisdom that she so graciously shared, and spread her unconditional love for all to feel. Ruby was preceded in death by her mothers, June Musselman McDaniel and Aileen Fraley McDaniel, and one sister, Wanda DeHaven (Michael). Ruby is survived by her father, Carl McDaniel, of Richmond, Indiana, husband, Larry; daughter, Keyla Bowen (Josh) of Depauw, Indiana; sisters, Jeanie Shafer (Henry) of Ramsey, Indiana, Jackie Goeke (Tony) of Richmond Indiana, and Barbara Bradford (Keith) of Lenoir City, Tennessee; One brother, Willie Carl McDaniel (Shanta) of Richmond, Indiana; Her grandchildren that she loved with all of her heart, Chris Bowen (Megan) of Corydon, Indiana, Emily Bowen, and Max Bowen, both of Depauw, Indiana; Great Grandson, Jackson Bowen of Corydon, Indiana.Show more

Wilma Elizabeth (Dome) Dale was the eldest daughter of the late Charles Willis and Florence Edna (Damon) Dome of New Salisbury, Indiana. She was born May 25, 1923 and departed this life on October 21, 2021. She attended the old Jackson Township schools in New Salisbury, Indiana through high school and later graduated from Indiana University with a B. S. degree in Home Economics in 1945. She was a member of the Eastern Star of Corydon and the Delta Kappa Gamma educator professional society. Following graduation, she taught Home Economics in Corydon, Indiana for 11 years. In 1956 she married John Lester Dale and moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin where they raised two sons, Bruce Allen Dale and Brian Ray Dale, and was an educator in the Milwaukee Public Schools for 10 years. Wilma moved to Sugar Land, Texas after her husband's death in 1983 to be closer to both sons' families and lived there until her recent passing. Wilma was committed in her Christian faith and very active in the church. Over her lifetime, she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School to young children, sang in the choir, played piano for her adult Sunday School Class, and was an active volunteer in the United Methodist Women and "We Care" groups at the Sugar Land First United Methodist Church. Notably, she coordinated the interdenominational group, Seasoned Sitizens of Sugar Land (SSOS), for many years. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, making music, cooking, sewing and handicraft, watching sporting events, helping others and most importantly spending time with family. Wilma is survived by sons, Bruce (Margaret) Dale and Brian (Jeri-Lynn) Dale; grandchildren, Christopher (Annebel) Dale and Meghan (Zachary) Atchison; and great grandchildren, Grayson and Piper Atchison, and Raegan Dale; and several generations of nieces, nephews, cousins and others.Show more

NEW SALISBURY - Larry Alan Martin age 54 passed away on December 29, 2020. He was born on February 18, 1966, to parents, Donald and Louise Martin in Corydon, Indiana. He attended the North Harrison School System and worked for over 30 years at the Blue River Workshop in Corydon. Larry was a very special kind and loving person who excelled in special olympics. He attended numerous football, baseball and basketball games at the various stadiums. He really enjoyed going to the U of L games and the Louisville Bats baseball games and eating out at various restaurants, including Cracker Barrel and Hooters which was one of his favorites. He attended the New Salisbury United Methodist Church and greeted everyone as they entered church on Sunday. He will definitely be missed by everyone. He was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Louise (Dome) Martin and his sister Carolyn (Susie) Ransdell. He is survived by his brother Dennis; his niece Vicki (Brad) McKinney and nephew Chris(Nicole) Ransdell and their son Gauge Ransdell. A special thanks to his caregiver Nancy Terry who helped take care of him since his father passed. Visitation will be on Saturday, January 2 from 2-8 PM and on Sunday January 3 at 12 PM at Swarens Funeral Home in Ramsey.
