(Tim) Butler, 72 of Drexel Hill, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 12,2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family and a close friend.Born in Philadelphia, PA., he was the son of the late William Joseph and the late Geraldine(Flood) Butler.He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed his family the most and his wife,daughter and son in law and three grandchildren were the center of his life. Tim had a bright,inquisitive mind and enjoyed researching everything from local history to the best recipe formaking steaks on the grill. He loved anything related to cars, airplanes or trains and was an avidNASCAR fan. Tim had an incredible ability to fix anything and was a blessing to his familywhenever a household or mechanical emergency came up.After his military service, he attended the Quaker City School of Aeronautics focusing onairframe mechanics. Most of his work career was in the aeronautics industry. In Loving Memory of John “Jack” Kelly November 4, 1922 - February 9, 2024 It is with both sadness and gratitude that we announce the peaceful passing of Jack Kelly, who lived a remarkable and fulfilling life for over a century. Born in Philadelphia, PA, Jack was the son of John and Margaret Kelly (nee Brennan). He graduated from West Catholic High School before enlisting in the Army, where he served in the Pacific theater during World War II. After the war, he returned home to Philadelphia and attended La Salle University. Jack began his career at the Veterans Administration where he met the love of his life, Rita Dennehy, to whom he was married for 70 years. He continued working for the federal government as an accountant until he retired. Jack resided in Havertown, PA for over 30 years where he was an active member of St. Dorothy’s Parish. He and Rita loved traveling, especially to visit family in Florida. In later years, Jack and Rita moved to Granite Farms Estates in Media, PA, where he enjoyed gardening, working in the woodshop, and volunteering on many committees. Jack prioritized family above all else. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rita, and siblings Margaret Igoe, Charles Kelly and James Kelly. He is survived by his daughter Liz and three grandchildren, Jack (Lauren), Meghan and Bill, all of whom brought him great pride. He has one great-granddaughter, Brooke, who truly brought a light to his eyes, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Jack thoroughly enjoyed good conversation and was an enthusiastic storyteller. He witnessed the world undergo incredible transformations over the course of his 100 years. Yet, he retained a zest for life and a sharp wit that endeared him to all generations. His legacy is one of love, wisdom, and unwavering strength. He left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him. A Mass and celebration of Jack's life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Catholic Charities.

Patrick A. Purcell age 63 of Drexel Hill died suddenly February 7, 2024. He is survived by his wife, Magdalene “Maggie” Purcell (nee McNabb) and daughters, Georgia and Ginger Purcell. Son of Patrick J. and the late MaryAnn D. Purcell. Brother to Dennis (Leslie) Purcell, Michael (the late Karen) Purcell, Catherine (Edward) Stankiewicz, Terrence (Kristin) Purcell. He will be missed by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. Patrick attended St. Alice School, Malvern Preparatory School and the University of Delaware. Patrick had a long and distinguished basketball career having held school records, received numerous awards and was inducted into the Malvern Hall of Fame. He was an avid sports fan and long-time member of Rolling Green Golf Club. Patrick was adoringly loved by family, friends and his community. He showed incredible generosity and kindness to so many people. He greatly appreciated the support of everyone during his battle with cancer which he faced with a faithful, positive and courageous attitude. "Rosemary A. Klumpp, age 85, a resident of Drexel Hill formerly of Southwest Philadelphia, passed away on February 5, 2024. Rosemary was born in Philadelphia to the late James and Elizabeth (Fox) Walsh. She was a graduate of West Catholic Girls High School and a member of Good Shepherd Parish. She was predeceased by her parents and her husband, the love of her life, Will. Rosemary loved life and being surrounded by her large network of family and friends. While raising her two daughters she also volunteered at Good Shepherd School as Secretary of the Athletic Association and a Brownie Troop Leader. Once her girls were old enough, she returned to the workforce as an Administrative Assistant at the University of Pennsylvania where she worked for 40 years, retiring at the age of 74. She continued her desire to serve in her retirement, volunteering at Fitzgerald Mercy and Riddle Memorial Hospitals and the Ronald McDonald House. Widowed at an early age, Rosemary formed a close group of friends and with them enjoyed traveling, golfing, bowling, bunko, lunches, and going to the theater. She held season tickets to the Eagles games for 20 years and was their number one fan. Most of all, she loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She never missed any of their events, and loved spending time in the summer with her extended family at the beach in Wildwood, NJ. Rosemary was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt who will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. Survived by her daughters, Roseanne (Joe Rix) Wallin and Patricia (Patrick) McKnight; grandchildren, Ashley (Mike Mysyna) Wallin, Fran (Jordan Davidson) Wallin, Shannon (Joseph Calciano) McKnight, Patrick (Cameryn Yocum) McKnight and Bridget (Nick) Lucchetta and Grace McKnight; great grandson, Francis Wallin; sister, Elizabeth Potts and many nieces and nephews. M. Patricia "Pat" Charno 1936 - 2024 M. Patricia “Pat” (Corcoran) Charno, 87, died peacefully on Sunday, January 28th. Pat was predeceased by her devoted husband of 64 years, Ronald J. “Ron” Charno Sr. and her son Ronald Jr. (Kathy). She is survived by her loving children, sons Nicholas (Mary), Kevin, Thomas (Maryellen), and only daughter Maria. “Grandmom” had 9 grandchildren that thought the world of her--Marc, Alison, Alex, Taryn, RJ, Thomas, Matt, Luke and Michaela. Pat was also great-grandmother to Jack, William, Henderson, Faye and Bennett. Pat is survived by her brothers Thomas Corcoran and John Corcoran, sister Kathleen Reinecker, and predeceased by sisters Eileen Saunders and Peggy White. Born in West Philadelphia, Pat was the eldest child of Thomas and Mary Corcoran (nee Murphy) who emigrated to America from Ireland. Growing up in West Philadelphia and graduating from West Catholic High School for girls, Pat made countless friends with whom she remained close through the years. Pat was devoted to her sweet husband Ron, the love of her life. Their love story began in Ocean City NJ and blossomed in West Philadelphia where they married on Halloween 1959. They moved to Drexel Hill in 1963 where they raised their family and lived together for over 60 years. Pat went back to college when her youngest child was in first grade. She loved the challenge of the academic world. While balancing the family activities and a husband that traveled for work, Pat excelled and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in May of 1986 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Civilization. Following graduation, Pat spent time working with the Historical Society of Pennsylvania. Pat and Ron loved to travel and enjoyed visiting Australia, England, Ireland, France, Germany, Switzerland, China, Japan, Mexico, Tahiti, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. Their favorite destination was Key West, where they visited often over the years. They also enjoyed many beach trips with family to various Jersey shore locations. Pat was known for her sharp wit and great sense of humor. She enjoyed spirited conversations with family, friends and acquaintances she met during her travels. She was an ardent reader, a passion that she passed onto her children. She also enjoyed spending time working in the family gardens. Pat will be deeply missed by her family and those that loved her. While saddened, we are celebrating the fact that Pat and Ron are now together again. Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation Saturday, February 10th 9:30-10:30AM at Saint Bernadette of Lourdes Church in Drexel Hill followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:30AM.
