Thurman "Les" Carpenter, 64, of Spring Hill, Kansas, passed away on October 4, 2023 at Olathe Hospice House. He was born on April 1, 1959 to James and Leta "Fay" (Rushing) Carpenter in Olathe, KS. He graduated from Olathe High School in 1977. Les retired from the City of Olathe as a Supervisor in 2016. He enjoyed cocktails with friends, playing pool, Green Bay Packers, Kansas City Royals, the annual 4th of July party, and canoe trips. Thurman is survived by his loving wife, Debra Husman, 2 dogs (Abby and Lacy) 3 brothers (James, Terry and Rodney) 4 sisters (Linda, Judy, Donna, and Cricket). He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Ada, father-in-law, Benny, mother-in-law, Joan, and 2 dogs, Abby1 and Lacy1. Lynn Alan Frankenfield, 73, of Spring Hill, Kansas, passed away on November 20, 2023, peacefully in his home. Family will meet with friends at 1:00 p. m. , Saturday, November 25, 2023 at the Paola Chapel. Service starting at 2:00 p. m. and burial at Paola Cemetery, Paola, Kansas. He was born on March 18, 1950, to Millard and Lillian (VanZyl) Frankenfield in Van Nuys, California. He was the middle child of six children. Lynn became a life long resident of Kansas after moving there with his family in 1955. On June 22, 1972, he married Opal Muncy where they remained united in marriage for 51 wonderful years. To this union they added two beautiful daughters, Michelle and Peggy. Lynn was an avid outdoorsman. On any given day, you would find him outside tinkering in his shop, in his garden, or playing with his grandchildren. If he left us with a list of chores to do, the top of that list would be to feed his catfish. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Nancy Roberts; brother, James Frankenfield; sister-in-law, Barbara Frankenfield and grandson, Timothy Cartwright. Lynn is survived by his loving wife, Opal; brothers, Charles Frankenfield and Jeff Frankenfield(Kathy); sister, Peggy Ammerman (Doug); sister-in-law, Ronda Frankenfield; daughters Michelle Hellwig (Ed) and Peggy Reiter (Leon); grandchildren Shauna, Jolie, and Audra Cartwright, Lucas, Nathan, and Lillian Reiter, and Lucy and Bill Hellwig, many nieces and nephews who are very dear to him. . . and please don't forget his faithful dog, Moose. Chad Allen Myers, 51, Spring Hill, Kansas passed away Saturday, October 28, 2023. Visitation will be 3:30 p. m. - 6:30 p. m. Monday, November 6, 2023 with a Celebration Of Life at 10:00 a. m. Tuesday, November 7, 2023 both at Spring HillUnited Methodist Church, 112 E. Nichols Street, Spring Hill, Kansas. He grew up in Sublette, Kansas and graduated from Sublette High School in 1990. Chad went on to earn a Bachelor’s of Science degree at Emporia State University in 1994. He married Kathryn Campbell in Prairie Village, Kansas on November 11, 1995. The two enjoyed almost 28 years of marriage together and lived a beautiful life with their sons, Campbell and Cade. Chad was the director of Paola Community Center, Paola, Kansas. He was a three year term president of the Brain Injury Association of Kansas and Greater Kansas City, past president and current member of the Paola Rotary Club, member of Sigma Tau Gamma at Emporia State, church council member at Spring Hill United Methodist Church and founding member of Gears and Beers Bike Club, Spring Hill. Chad had a passion for riding his bike with friends. He had a love for all Kansas sports. He was passionate about officiating football and volleyball. Chad’s favorite times were spent being with his family. He will be remembered as a devoted father and husband who supported his sons in all their aspirations. Chad’s contagious laughter and enthusiasm will be deeply missed. Chad is preceded in death by his father Charlie and father-in-law John Campbell. "Ellen Ruth Trumble, 65, of Spring Hill, Kansas passed away at home surrounded by her loving family. She will forever be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to everyone she knew. Ellen was born on August 3, 1958 in Moundridge, Kansas to James Leroy and Twilla Mae (Gehring) Stucky. She graduated as the Valedictorian from the Kansas School for the Deaf in Olathe, Kansas. After graduation, she earned her Associates Degree at the National Technology Institute for the Deaf in Rochester, New York. She married the love of her life, Keith Edward Trumble on August 11, 1979. Together they raised their four boys Charles, John, James and Travis. Ellen worked as a dorm supervisor at the Kansas School for the Deaf for over twenty-eight years. She was a dedicated member of Countryside Church in Overland Park, Kansas. She enjoyed sewing, crafts and cooking for her family. Nothing gave her more joy in life than time she spent with her family, including ten beautiful grandchildren. She will be missed dearly. Her father, James Leroy Stucky, precedes Ellen in death. She is survived by her loving husband of forty-four years, Keith E. Trumble of the home, mother Twilla Mae Stucky of Moundridge, Kansas, four sons Charles Trumble and his wife Brittany of Stillwell, Kansas, John Trumble and his wife Laura of Manchester, Pennsylvania, James Trumble of Overland Park, Kansas and Travis Trumble and his wife Melissa of Gardner, Kansas. Left behind to cherish her memory are her grandchildren Alexis, Marisa, Emma, Kate, Hannah, Allie, Lorenzo, Owen, Raelynn and Kaylee. Ellen is also survived by her sister Emily Neufeldt and her husband Kelvin of Inman, Kansas along with two brothers Tim Stucky and his wife Amber of Moundridge, Kansas and Troy Stucky and his wife Ashly of Moundridge, Kansas.
