Harold A. Anderson "Andy1' passed away peacefully November 26, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 2, 1941 to Axel H. Anderson and Catherine M. Anderson. He is survived by his wife Louise of 59 years, his daughter Kristen Oldfield, Nathan Oldfield, granddaughter Oliva and grandson Otis all from Huntsville, AL. He is also survived by his nephews Scott Watson and his wife Rita from Virginia Beach. Nephew Dean Stenberg, of Cokato, MN and his niece Lauri Zumach and husband Darin from Buffalo, MN; sister- in-law SuzanneLaRocca of Dallas, TX and her daughters Daphane from Nederland, TX and Ashley from Dallas, TX. He was predeceased by his mother, father, and siblings Polly and Mary. Andy graduated from Cokato High School in 1959. After high school he received a fully paid athletic/academic scholarship to the University of MN. And Texas Lutheran University where he graduated in 1964. He received his Master's Degree from Southwest Texas University in 1968. He played and excelled in academics and in every sport he played. In high school he was in the National Honor Society and the MN All State Football squad. In college he was an All American in football. After college he was offered a contract with the Houston Oilers. He played with them for a short time and then played semi pro for 3 years with a team in Massachusetts and in San Antonio, TX. He coached for 25 years in TX and taught for 40 years. He felt the most important job he had in education was working his last 4 years of his career with special needs children. He loved football, playing it coaching it and watching it. The only thing he loved more was God and his family and lifelong friends. He didn't say much but he did say was, sincere. knowledgeable and witty. He was an avid reader, enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and traveling, mostly to the lake or beach. He was always thinking of others welfare and a very generous tipper and donated to many non-profit organizations. He was a wonderful husband, son and father and will be forever missed by his loving family.Show more

Elder Paul Lee Davis, 78, suddenly passed away at Huntsville Hospital on 28 November 2023. He was born on 22 December 1944 to Josephine Tyler in Emporia Virginia. Elder Davis graduated from High School and joined the United States Navy where he served proudly for over 20 years. During his tours he served in the Vietnam War, Multiple at Sea deployments and received 6th Good Conduct Award, National Defense Service Medal, Second Award Navy Unit Commendation Award, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation Award, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon with 2 bronze stars. After completing his military service, he later went on to complete his PHD at the Share- A- Prayer and Word Theological school of Ministry in Whitewater, WI. He served the community as a Chaplin of the Salvation Army where he continued to make a difference in the lives of many. He was a devoted Husband, father, uncle, cousin, brother, grandfather and recent great grandfather. He had a love for the church and was very strong in his spiritual walk with GOD. If you didn't see him studying the word you could find him enjoying his other passion, GOLF. He is preceded in death by his mother: Josephine Tyler Stanton, His Brother Gregory Tyler and his beloved spouse - Patricia Elaine Davis. He is survived by his brothers - Gary Tyler and Allen Tyler and his spouse Sandra Tyler. Sisters - Velma Worrell and her spouse Tyrone Worrell and Tracy Tyler Children - Tonja Latrece Butler and her spouse William Ross Butler, Erica Nicole Hicks, Bettina Louise Washington Grandchildren: William Ross Butler II and his spouse Ohka Patel-Butler, Whitney Nicole Butler, Jasmine Latrice McKee and her spouse James Lee McKee, Savannah Louise Washington, Cheyenne Elaine Hicks, Jaevyon Reginald Hicks and Donovan Lee Washington Great Grandchild: Zachariah Lee McKee. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. To some he was known as Elder Davis, but we know him as Pappi, POP POP, Daddy, Big Bro and friend. A memorial service will be announced later. Christopher "Chris" Lumark Minor was born on Leap Day, February 29th, 1972, to Christine Minor and the late Robert Lee Minor, Sr. , in Huntsville, AL. Chris was the 12th child and last baby of a loving, close family produced from his parent's union. Chris was known for being a skilled and avid outdoorsman. He truly loved being outside in nature. He loved fishing, hunting, and being the epitome of a country boy!Raised in New Market, AL, as a teenager he was the neighborhood barber, car tinker, and loved a good hearty meal! He was a jokester and always had his family laughing and enjoying his company. He attended Buckhorn High School and upon completion of his studies began working for Asplundh and many projects his own Tree Cutting/Stump Grinding business, "On the Grind". He loved big trucks and equipment and collected many amazing tools for his trade. He called or came by to see his mother every morning to make sure he started both of their days just right. He loved his mother, brothers and sisters, his sons, precious granddaughter, nieces and nephews. Chris accepted Christ as his savior at the The Harvest Church in Ardmore, AL in 2013. Chris's sudden passing is a deep loss to his family and friends. He leaves behind to cherish his memories: his devoted and wonderful mother, Christine; his cherished sons, Christopher "Petey", Jr. , and Austin; his precious granddaughter, Xiomora; his loving brothers, Ernest, Jerry (Susie), and Robert, Jr. ; his treasured sisters, Mary Ann (James), Diane, Orline, Angelina (Bob), and Barbara. He was dearly loved and valued by all of his nieces, nephews, and many cousins/extended family and friends. He also leaves behind his special friend and companion, Jessica. Chris was preceded in death by his infant brother, Willie; and oldest brothers, David Lee and Willie Lee. William, commonly known as Bill to his family and friends, resided in Plainview, Illinois, formerly of Highland, Illinois. Bill\u0027s determination and resilience in life shone through leaving an indelible mark on the lives he touched. His passing is mourned deeply by his loving wife Maurine Daniels, son Bill Daniels and wife Lisa of Foley, Alabama, daughter Maegan Minney and husband, Josh of Loxley, Alabama, brother Terry Daniels of Centralia, Illinois, grandchildren: Ryan Daniels, Victoria Daniels, Carter Minney and Adeline Minney. Together, they find solace in the countless memories of shared laughter, unforgettable moments, and the unwavering support Bill provided to each of them.
