Thomas Morrison Obituary

Thomas Lawrence "Larry" Morrison, 78, of Alton, Illinois and formerly of Lovington, Illinois passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City. In celebration of his life, Mass will be held at the Saint Isidore Catholic Church in Bethany, Illinois, on June 3rd at 10am, with burial to follow at St. Isidore Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Saint Isidore Catholic Church, 364 County Road, 2000 North, Bethany, IL 61914 or to the Alzheimer's Association, www. alz. org. Larry was born March 22, 1945, in Decatur, Illinois, a son of the late Virgil and Imelda (Reedy) Morrison. Larry graduated from Lovington High School, and attended Quincy College, where he was on the basketball team, and attended Eastern Illinois University. He was a farmer throughout most of his life and had a cattle business for many years. He was a former member of Saint Isidore Catholic Church in Bethany, Illinois. He is survived by a son, Mick Morrison of St. Charles, Missouri; and a daughter, Brisyn Ritchie of Louisville, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Logan Hupp, Jaxsyn Ritchie, Evyn Ritchie, and Heston Morrison; and a great-granddaughter Oaklyn Hupp; two sisters and 3 brothers-in-laws, Margie and Jim Spencer of Plainfield, Indiana, Mary Ann and Eddie Coyle of Chesterfield, Missouri, and Chuck Mundy of Fairview, Texas; nieces; nephews; great nieces and nephews; and other extended family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Courtney Morrison; a sister, Jane Mundy, and a brother, Timothy Morrison.
