Thomas Hosmer Sr Obituary

Thomas Fred Hosmer Sr. , 74, of McAdoo, passed away on Saturday at his residence. Born in Jersey Shore, Pennsylvania on June 10, 1948, he was the son of Leon and Maxine (Mayes) Hosmer. He was a strong Christian believer and had a dedicated faith, an active member of Grace Baptist Church in Hazleton. He was a family man with a big heart, and he will truly be missed by all. Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, were his sons Timothy Paul Hosmer and Thomas Fred Hosmer Jr. , daughters Tamara Hosmer and Sarah Hosmer, grandson Joshua Lee Hosmer. Surviving is his wife of 56 years Sherry Lee Hosmer; daughters Tulsa Schappell and her husband Greg, Sonja Hosmer; sons Thaddaeus Hosmer and his wife Mary, Seth Hosmer; grandchildren Christian Schappell and his wife Kayla, Dakota Schappell, Ashton Schappell, Alleyah Schultz and her husband John, Faith Young and her husband Sam, Riley Lily, Thomas F. Hosmer III, Damion Hosmer, Cheyanne Fickes. Also surviving are several great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 7:00 PM at Grace Baptist Church, 556 Samuels Avenue, Hazleton. Family and Friends can pay their respects at the church from 6:00 P. M. until the start of the service. A private burial will take place at the Jersey Shore Cemetery.
