Thomas spent his career in finance and after many years retired from Friendly Finance. He also served the community as a Notary Public. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and geocaching. Thomas was a devoted son, brother and uncle. He was preceded in death by his father Thomas C. Cockerham and his mother Willie "Bill" Owens Cockerham; grandmother, Addie B. Cockerham. Thomas is survived by his sisters Diane Stanley, Suzanne Ryals and her husband, David; nieces Amy Cummings and her husband David, Cristy Halley and her husband Brent, Lesli Causey and her husband Rick; nephews Shawn Ryals and his wife Amanda, Jason Ryals and his wife Emily; and numerous great nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers will be David Cummings, Brent Halley, Rick Causey, Shawn Ryals, Jason Ryals, Wyatt Halley, Micah Causey. Honorary pallbearer will be David Ryals.
