Theresa Horton Obituary

Miss Theresa Lucille Horton, age 63, of Mt. Airy, passed away on Friday, April 21, 2023, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. She was born on December 29, 1959, to the late William and Mary Goins Horton. She loved church, and the beach. She was a loving sister, and friend who will surely be missed by all who knew her. Left to cherish her memories are sisters, April Hiatt (Chris Baldwin), Earlene Horton; brother David Horton (Diane Tate); Uncle Tommy Horton; special cousin, Pat Hatfield (Kim); as well as several aunts, nieces, and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Horton was preceded in death by sisters, Annette Gates, and Mary Dixon. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at 2:00 PM at the Salvation Army Church in Mt. Airy with service conducted by Rev. Butch Holder, and Captain Ryan Vincent. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1:00 PM until time for the service at the church, and at other times at the family home.
