"Our beloved mother, Sandra \u0026quot;Sandy\u0026quot; Corrigan, passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2023. Even to this moment, Sandy remains a devoted wife to Eugene James; and loving mother to Dennis (Sandi) Corrigan, Belinda Bazemore, Tess Corrigan, and Christopher (Angymarie) Corrigan; grandmother to Steven (Karen) Bazemore, Jessica Bazemore, Katie (Michael) Ingersol, Chelsea Corrigan, Sean Corrigan, Hunter Napier, Tanner Napier, Conner Napier, Chloe Napier, and Ryan Claire Corrigan; and great-grandmother to Riley Bazemore, Logan Bazemore, Ella Grace Bazemore, Mia Ingersol, and Gillian Ingersol. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Our mother was a loving, kind, caring, and giving person who consistently put the needs of her family before her own. Sandy was a strong, brilliant, and adventurous woman, who faced every challenge in her life with courage, dignity, her pick comb, and lipstick. Our mother was a source of inspiration to us all and many of those, whose lives were touched by her energy and willingness to have fun, and a little ice cream. In the early years of our family, Sandy was the chaperon, facilitator, coordinator, den mother, backstage helper, director, performer, and taxi driver. Later, Sandy embarked on a new career in banking and then into construction lending. She absolutely loved the newness of each new adventure. This then fed a desire to travel more with her devoted husband and two youngest adult children. Sandy was a woman of strong faith and instilled in us the importance of participating in our faith, as well as doing the hard jobs. Our mother was a true role model in overcoming physical challenges to remain faithful. This is something we will always cherish and admire. The funeral service will be held at St. Ann Catholic Church, 17111 Route 1, South Chesterfield, Virginia 23834, on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at 11 AM, with a viewing in the chapel starting at 10 AM. The burial at Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, VA, to follow the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Ann Catholic Church, Colonial Heights. Mom, you will always be in our hearts and we will never forget you. We love you so much. Rest in peace. "Show more
