Gay Ann "Annie" McCann, age 87 and lifelong resident of Flint, with her faith in the Lord, passed away on February 26, 2024 under the care of hospice. A funeral will be held at 12:00 PM Saturday, March 2, 2024 at the Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center located at 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM Friday, March 1, 2024 at the funeral home and from 10:30 AM Saturday until the time of service. Private burial will take place on Monday, March 4, 2024 at Flint Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Gay Ann to the American Diabetes Association (www.diabetes.org) or the American Cancer Society (www.donate,cancer.org).Gay Ann was born on August 23, 1936 in Lansing, Michigan to the late Frederick Patrick and Cora Marie (McDonald) Drouin. She graduated from St. Michaels Catholic School and married John D. McCann on May 12, 1956 in Flint, Michigan. She retired from the Flint Board of Education in 1991 after 20 years as a Teacher's Aide. Annie was a talented artist who had a passion for painting in addition to enjoying a good practical joke, also enjoyed time at the casino, the camaraderie with retirees of Local 659 and she had an "udderly" ridiculous collection of cows.She is survived by husband of 67 years, John. Sons, Kevin J. (Jennifer) McCann of Flint; Matthew D. (Christine) McCann of Essexville; Michael P. (Lori) McCann of Jamestown, NC. 10 Grandchildren and 10 Great-Grandchildren. Siblings, Mina (Glenn) Davison of Clio; Terry (Judy) Drouin of Mt. Morris; Brenda Drouin-Myers of Grand Blanc. Daughter-In-Law, Ruth Ann McCann. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.Mrs. McCann was preceded in death by her parents, sons, Scott J. McCann and Mitchell P. "Michael Alan Szymanski, age 67, of Flint, died Feb. 15, 2024. He was born in Redford, Mi on Feb. 26, 1956 to Joseph and Angela (Koss) Szymanski. He was retired from Fenton Extended Care where he worked as a maintenance man for 30 years and was currently working as a maintenance man for Pfau Properties. Mike loved the water, Mackinac Island, playing jokes on people, watching WWE wrestling and Tim Horton’s coffee. He is survived by his wife Lori; and 3 sisters, Nancy Yarbrough, Jacqueline (Craig) Hoxie, Pamela (Birg) Fossum and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Dennis, Robert and his twin brother Mark. Mr. Donald Dwight Younger affectionately known as “Donnie” was born December 13, 1965, in Flint, MI. The first-born child to Donald and Jacquelynn Younger. Donnie began his education in the Flint public schools and was a graduate of Flint Southwestern Class of 1983. Furthering his education at the University of Nebraska on a track scholarship. Later he attended Grambling State University. Donnie also attained an Associate Degree in Business Management and Applied Science Automotive Technology from Mott Community College. Donnie enlisted into the United States Marine Corps, being honorably discharged in October 1997. He gained employment with the United States Postal Service for a short time then began employment with Purem by Eberspacher until the time of his death. Donnie was passionate about bowling, being a member of the USBC and TNBA/Flint Senate most of his adult life. He enjoyed all sports. He also enjoyed socializing and spending time with family and friends. He was a great mentor to young males in his life. He was well known for his neatness and organization. Mr. Donald Dwight Younger leaves to cherish his memory; 3 daughters, Shawnisha Younger, Nataja (Torielle Kidd) Younger and Amari (Rapheal) Leeper; 4 grandsons, Chantantus Franklin, Darion Horton, A’lijah Johnson and Taelon Kidd; sister, Tracey (William) Parham; 2 brothers, Jason (Terry) Younger and Darryl Calvin; grandmother, Lelia Adams; nieces, Quartney Parham, Gabriella Younger; 3 nephews, Antonio Epps, Darrion Younger and Kahlil Calvin; 8 aunts, Regina Adams, Lois Driver, Marion Morris, Gloria Blacksure, Jocelyn Grantham, Tracy Matthews, Rhonda Brantley and Kim Burks; 2 uncles, Eddie (Ruth) Adams, III and Terry Younger; great aunt, Alease Adams. Mother Marie Randall was born December 8, 1928, in Dyersburg Tennessee. She was the daughter of Mervin and Estella Robinson. Mother Randall moved to Albion, Michigan and graduated from Albion High School. In 1960, she married Barry Randall and moved to Flint, MI. To this union they were blessed with 3 children, however they raised 5 children. Mother Randall became a member of Vernon Chapel A.M.E. Church, under the leadership direction of the late and Honorable Rev Reuben E. Russell. She was a member of the Missionary Society for 47 years, Steward Board for 30 plus years and a Torch Lighter. Mother Randall loved watching football and traveling. Mother Randall was a remarkable homemaker that instilled love, and care, for all her children. Teaching them to “Always Do the Right Thing.” She was guided at an early age by her grandmother Cora Allen to be a major caretaker. Mother Randall also loved to cook and feed her pastors, “good ole homecooked meals.” Mother Marie Randall leaves to cherish her lasting memories; her children, Stella (William) Savage-Sutton, Rosie (Fletcher) Rheaves, Lisa Randall, Teekewa (Macieo III) Roundtree. She also raised Cora and Fredrick Randle. Keeping her special memories are 11 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren; 2 nephews, Dennis (Gladys) Reid of Albion, MI; Ernest Wingate of Flint, MI and other relatives. A special cousin Loleta Towner, and special friend, Maria Bayne. Mother Marie Randall was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; son, Tiaqua Randall; grandson Tony Savage; great grandson, Lamar Witt, Jr; sister, Margaret Wingate; brother, Weakley Robinson. The family would like to express special thanks to her granddaughters, Tanjanika Randle, Monique Thompson, Cora Randle and Rosie Rheaves who cared for her during her recent illness. Collette Joy Boudreau, age 52, of Flint, passed away Friday, February 23, 2024, in Hurley Medical Center where they gave her comfort care. A Celebration of life burial will take place 12:00 noon. Friday, March 1, 2024, at Gracelawn Cemetery in Flint. She was born in Flint, Michigan, on January 15, 1972, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Terrance Earl and Sheila Lorraine (Grandy) Boudreau. Sadly, her father preceded her in death in 1978. Collette’s mom in her teenage years married “Dutch” Francis Baumgart; he was a very good to Collette Joy Boudreau . Educated locally and graduated from the Genesee Intermediate School District with the class of 1998. Collette loved roller skating, bowling, spending time with her family, especially her sister Cheryl. Together they would go out to eat where she would talk about what she was going to have for her next meal. She also looked forward to the family’s Holiday and Birthday gatherings with brother, Terry Boudreau, and nephew, Terrance Boudreau Her favorite meals included pop from McDonalds, pancakes, and pizza. She was very close to her sister, Cheryl, they would take long walks in a park, attend fairs, watching movies, or just relax on the beach. When she would meet someone she would extend her hand and say my name is Collette Joy Boudreau, I love you.. You gotta love everyone, like God does. Coloring was her favorite past-time and loved receiving balloons, and stuffed animals as gifts. If you gifted her a stuffed animal, she would name it Larry, Amy, or Tom. She also enjoyed listening to music and dancing, especially to her favorite band New Kids On The Block. Collette would also say "how much is that? I will get you one." She had a soft spot for animals and always wanted to have a pet rabbit. Overall, everyone who meant Collette Joy Boudreau thought she was very sweet. Left to cherish her memory are her siblings: Cheryl Boudreau, Terrance Boudreau, Bridgette Grandy; step siblings: Kathleen and husband, Mike Simmons, Guy Baumgart, Theresa Hall, Margaret Baumgart, Annette and husband, Bob Baumgart-Eldridge, Joe Baumgart, Anita and husband, Dennis Baumgart-Shannon; niece, Tara Lambert, kids, and great-nieces; nephews: Matt and Dominik Grandy, and Terrance Boudreau and their children; and many cousins. Collette was preceded in death by her grandparents: Ronald Nelson and Anna Grandy, Harvey and Maxine Boudreau ; mother, Sheila who they loved each other dearly; father, Terrance Boudreau; and step-father, Francis Baumgart; sister, Lynn Boudreau; and her aunts, uncles: Donald (Margaret) Boudreau, Noreen Gocha, Delphine Eggleston, Harold Boudreau, Shirley Gillmore; nephews: Ronnie Grandy, Zander; niece, Angelina; and cousins: Michael, Chris, Neil Gillmore, Kerri (Gocha) Chema. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Don or Dan he made her smile big! Cousin, Annette Bader, and friends along the way who helped her and hung out at the group home. Collette appreciated everyone that was nice to her and helped her. She brought up many in her past and asked about them. Never forgotten.
