Thelma Johnson Obituary

Thelma Jean Johnson, 92, of Van Buren, Arkansas left her earthly home on April 23, 2023. Thelma was born September 8, 1930 in Alma, Arkansas to the late Kermit and Ellen Graham. She was of the Baptist Faith and retired from Sparks Regional Medical Center. She enjoyed quilting and shopping for furniture. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Johnson, sons Billy Hope, Pal Hope and Keith Hope, brothers Bill Graham and Wimp Graham along with sisters, Barbara Chapple and June McDonald. Thelma is survived by her son Earl Hope and daughter Connie Atkins, brother Harland Graham (Sharon), sisters, Margaret and Merlene, along with 8 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Thelma's funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, April 27, 2023 at Lewis Funeral Chapel 4817 Kelley Hwy in Fort Smith with interment at Short Mountain Cemetery in Cowlington, Oklahoma.
