Terry Lynn Vandiver,74, of Lakeland, Florida passed away on October 5 surrounded by his loved ones in his home after a valiant battle with cancer. Terry was born on March 7, 1949, to Walter and Carrie Vandiver in Blytheville, Arkansas. He grew up in Cooter, MO and moved to Lakeland in 1957. Terry met the love of his life, Judy Jones, and they were married on January 9, 1970. Terry served in the Army for two years, including a year in Viet Nam. He went on to become a skilled carpenter and worked many years for Register Construction. Judy and Terry lovingly raised two children together, Jennifer and Jerry. Terry adored his two grandchildren, Landon and Laney, or "Laneybelle" as he called her. Terry was an avid fan of NASCAR Racing and loved the outdoors. He was an accomplished fisherman of both freshwater and saltwater species. He made many happy memories fishing with Jerry in Tampa Bay while on the family's annual 4th of July trip to Anna Maria Island. He enjoyed spending time with friends at their hunt club in Polk County. Terry was often found cheering on his grandchildren at any of their sporting events. He bicycled to Peterson Park almost daily, to feed peanuts to the squirrels and visit with friends. Terry will be remembered for his kindness, his big heart, and his love for his family. Terry was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Carrie Vandiver, his beloved daughter, Jennifer Vandiver Steinberg, sisters, Shirley (Ken) Kennedy, Betty Whitfield, Jimmie Smith, and brother, Jerry Vandiver Sr. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Judy Vandiver, his son, Jerry Vandiver and daughter-in-law Dawn, grandson, Landon Vandiver, granddaughter Laney Vandiver, sisters, Janie Cheshire, Pamela Vandiver, and Patti (Robert) Glass. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation Monday, October 9, 2023, at 10 am with services to follow at 11 am at Heath Funeral Chapel, 328 S. Ingraham Avenue, Lakeland, FL 33801. Interment at oak Hill Burial Park, 4620 US Highway 98 South, Lakeland, FL 33812. The family would like to welcome all family and friends to join us for a Celebration of Life at the screened pavilion at Peterson Park from 1-4 pm after the service on Oct. 9, 2023. Casual dress.

Andre Trimane Harvey, of Blytheville, Arkansas was born in Osceola, Arkansas on September 3, 1981, to Willie Harvey, Jr. and Deborah Daniels. Andre was a graduate of Blytheville High School Class of 2000. He was a fun-loving guy that enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Andre was preceded in death by his father, Willie Harvey, Jr. , one brother Lloyd Anderson, his grandmother Mrs. Norell Harvey, two uncles, Edgar, and George Harvey, and two aunts, Joyce Henderson, and Roberta Williams. Andre passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2023, in Forrest City, Arkansas at the age of 42. His loving memory will be cherished by his mother, Deborah (Dante Forrest) Daniels of Blytheville, Arkansas his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Mildred Evans of Blytheville, Arkansas; one son, Donte Dixon of Little Rock, Arkansas; two daughters, Deborah Harvey of Missouri, and Andrea Harvey of Dallas, Texas; two brothers, Dedric (Tamaki) Davis of Blytheville, Arkansas and Willie Harvey, III of , Kennett, Missouri; two sisters, Shelia (Jamie) Gale of Blytheville, Arkansas and Tyessence Davis also of Blytheville, Arkansas; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 14, 2023, from 12:00 p. m. until 2:00 p. m. at Greater Jeremiah Spiritual Church, 1100 South Lake Street, Blytheville, Arkansas where Reverend Fred Wright is the pastor. Lonzetta Terry Alvoid was born in Armorel, Arkansas November 29, 1953, the daughter of Alonzo and Ann Thompson Alvoid. Lonzetta was a faithful and dutiful member of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church where she served as church secretary, Sunday school teacher, and was the choir president. She was educated in the Armorel School District and was employed at Arkansas Northeastern College. Lonzetta was preceded in death by her parents, Alonzo Alvoid, and Ann Thompson Alvoid, two sisters Bobbie Foster and Gloria Shaw. Lonzetta transitioned on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at the Phil and Flo Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Arkansas at the age of 70. She leaves to cherish precious memories her son, Chirstopher Alvoid of Blytheville, Arkansas; her daughter, Robbie (Cedric) Junearick of Madison, Alabama; four sisters, Sandra Mathis of Blytheville, Arkansas; Dorothy Martin of Chicago, Illinois; Vonciel (Sonny) Stanton also of Chicago, Illinois; and Mildred Alvoid of Aroura, Colorado; six grandchildren, and one great grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, her Mt. Frank Alford was born on February 9, 1941, as the youngest of 10 children to Jimmie and Annie Mae Alford of Blytheville, Arkansas. As a member of the U. S. Army, he was stationed in Greenland. Frank and his son started their own business known as East-Tech, Inc. where they manufacture strainers for the pump industry. Today, the business is being managed by his son and grandson. Frank loved coaching and participating in his son and grandchildren's sporting activities. He was a Razorback fan and was eagerly awaiting the start of the basketball team's new season. He was a member of The Hot Springs Country Club, Elks lodge, VFW, and The American Legion. He attended Piney Baptist Church in Hot Springs, AR. Frank leaves his son Stewart Mitchell (Connie), his grandchildren, Joshua Ryan Alford and Brooke Nicole AlfordRamos, (Yelitza) and his devoted long time (17 years) companion, Norma Mayo Wall, her family and fur baby Eli, and a host of loved ones that considered him ''Papa. Joe Charles Akers, 57, of Blytheville, Arkansas, died Monday, November 27, 2023 in Memphis, Tennessee. Born to Lonnie and Melba Ann Wooldridge Akers, he was a Supervisor at Tenaris for 24 years. Joe was a great provider for his family and when he wasn't working, he loved to spend his time with his family. He impacted many lives with his big heart and was loved by everyone he met. His favorite pastimes were fishing with his mother and his sons. He was also passionate about watching his western movies, especially those with John Wayne. Joe was very proud of his sons and his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by four brothers: Lonnie Jr. , Ronnie, David, and Jerry Akers. Joe is survived by his wife, Tammy Weaver Akers of Blytheville, Arkansas; three children: Joe Akers II and Kristen of West Memphis, Arkansas, Brandon Akers of Monroe, Louisiana, and Joe Walters III and Kaylee of Orange City, Kansas; two brothers: Dale Akers of Blytheville, Arkansas, and Billy Akers and Stacy of Paragould, Arkansas; three sisters: Susie Kirk and Tim of Blytheville, Arkansas, Connie Hutto and Don of Piedmont, Missouri, and Debbie Goforth and Brian of Cullman, Arkansas; and three grandchildren: Abby, Lela, and Gabe Akers. LaSonya PaShun Barnes Mitchell was born to Billy D. Williams and Gloria Dean Barnes on November 21, 1967, in Gary, Indiana. She was raised in Blytheville, Arkansas where she attended the Blytheville High School, graduating in 1986, and was employed at MCAEOC Head Start as a bus monitor. Shunn confessed a hope in Christ and was a faithful member of Eternal Salvation Pentecostal Church under the pastorage of Bishop John D. Mayberry. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Joe Henry and Lula Mae Johnson, James Holliday, Rose Barnes, her aunt, Katherine Wilkins and uncles Carl Richard Ellis and Steven Smyth. Tanisha Yolundra Brown 49, of Beaumont, TX passed Nov. 20, 2023. A Memorial Service will be held 10AM, Nov. 25, 2023, at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church 3920 W. Cardinal Dr. Beaumont, TX. Tanisha was born on July 02, 1974, in Blytheville, Arkansas to Annabel Franklin-Brown and John Earl Brown. Tanisha was the apple of their eyes and a joy to behold for the entire Brown and Franklin families. Tanisha professed Christ at an early age under the leadership of Elder Rosevelt Reed at Oakwood COGIC in Alton, IL. Upon moving to Beaumont, she became an active member at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. John R. Adolph-Pastor. Tanisha graduated from Alton High School in Alton, Illinois in 1992 while working a steady job. She went on to get a diploma as a Medical Assistant from Sanford-Brown College. As a single mother she continued to work and go to college receiving her Associate of Applied Science in Office Technology from Lamar Institute of Technology in Beaumont, TX, a Bachelor of Business Administration from LeTourneau University and then going further to receive a Master of Strategic Leadership from LeTourneau University. She worked as a Frontline Coordinator-Financial Aid at Lamar State College, an Outreach and Admissions Counselor for Cornerstone Solutions, Inc. With the Job Corps she was an Outreach and admissions Counselor and at Southeast Texas Food Bank she held various positions. She finally landed her dream job as an Administrative Assistance to the director of Family Services of Southeast, Texas. The pride and joy of her life was her son, Larry Doran Greenlee, II. He was her motivator, her reason to live and strive to be the very best mother. She instilled in Larry a desire to know and seek God, to achieve an exemplary education and always show and use good manners. OrganizationsYou could always find her active and busy. She was involved in many programs such as, Single Parents Ministry at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church serving with various ministries within the church. Single Mom's Overjoyed Rejuvenated and Empowered (SMORE), participated in Day of Blessings, Single Moms Retreat and Single Moms Support Group through Calder Baptist Church. The one that was near and dear to her was serving our inner-city brothers and sisters (homeless population). She also served faithfully with Pioneering Women. Tanisha's contagious spirit touched many people leaving a lasting impression.
