Terry Underwood Obituary

Underwood, Terry Lynn; Terry went home to be with the Lord on April 20, 2023 at 70 years of age. Terry, the son of Dorsey and Ann Underwood, was born in Pontiac, Michigan on August 9, 1952, and was a graduate of Waterford Kettering High School. Terry made a career at General Motors starting on the assembly line and transitioning into other roles while being heavily involved in the United Automobile Workers (UAW) union, totaling 30+ years and retiring in 2010. Terry was hard working and loyal to those he loved. He loved nature and being outdoors, never missing opening day for deer hunting season. He also enjoyed history, educating himself on various battles, wars, presidents, and impactful historical figures, as well as native american history and heritage collecting as many arrow heads he could find. Terry was preceded by his parents; he is survived by his beloved wife Susan Underwood; his children Tara (Eric) Schroeder, Matthew Underwood, Lyndsey (Ryan) Winfield; his grandchildren Raelynne Schroeder, Harper Winfield, and Everett Winfield; his sister Sandy (Steve) Guba; his nieces and nephews, close friends, and old work colleagues. Visitation will take place Wednesday, April 26, 2023 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at COATS FUNERAL HOME-WATERFORD on Sashabaw Rd. and Thursday, April 27, 2023 from 10:00 - 11:00 am at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, 3795 Sashabaw Rd, Waterford with the service at 11:00 am and a luncheon to follow.
