Clara Elizabeth Jackson, nee Cross passed away suddenly at home on November 10, 2023 at age 56. Born on July 20, 1967 in Florida to Don and Marolyn Cross, who were from Oklahoma and Utah. Don Cross worked nearby at Cape Kennedy in the Aerospace industry. Clara was the youngest of three children with her sister Cheryl and her brother, Victor. She lived in Florida until she was 6 years old, when the family moved to the Washington DC area. When Clara was 10, she moved with her Dad to the LA suburbs. After her Dad was transferred to Alaska, she went to live with her Uncle Joe Shull and Aunt Sandy and their family nearby in Valinda, California. Clara was involved in drama and choir in high school. She had a lot of friends and was active in the church youth group. The family moved to Kirkland, Washington in 1984 where Clara graduated from Juanita High School in 1985. She attended Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho, where she was pledged to Lambda Delta Sigma Sorority. She served an 18 month mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Rome, Italy from September 1988 to the Spring of 1990. After she returned home, she met her husband, Rick Jackson, at a young adult group in the summer of 1990. They were happily married for eternity in the Seattle Temple on Dec. 27, 1990. While she and Rick were attending college at the University of Utah, Clara worked at various jobs. Their beloved son Brandon was born on September 21, 1996. Clara graduated from the University of Utah with a psychology degree in June 1997. The family moved to Kirkland Washington, where she was a home-maker and devoted mother. Clara and Rick taught a primary CTR class together. She is survived by her husband Rick, her son, Brandon, her sister Cheryl, and brother Victor. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. The memorial will be held December 2nd, 2023 at 10 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel at 7910 NE 132nd St. , Kirkland, WA, 98034 and will be laid to rest at the Kirkland Cemetery at noon.Show more

Meredith Rose Piro passed away peacefully at home on November 6, 2023 after a long battle with cancer. She was surrounded by loving family and friends. Meredith was born on June 29, 1979 in Bellevue, WA to Jerry & Mary Ellen Piro. She was a 1997 graduate of Bellevue High School. In 2001, she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Administrative Management from Central Washington University. After graduating from CWU, Meredith worked for Pacific Capital Resource Group for 2 1/2 years. Beginning in October of 2003, she began working for PACCAR. Throughout her 20 years with the company, she worked in a variety of positions. At the time of her passing, she was working as a Product Support Training Manager for PACCAR's Peterbilt Motors Company. Meredith is survived by her Mom, Mary Ellen, sister Teresa (Dave), brothers, Mark (Huilun), and Evan (Amber). Nephews, Baron, Oscar, & Alister. Nieces, Sydney & Alma. Uncles, Aunts, Cousins and many dear Friends. She was known as Auntie to many of her friends' children. . She was preceded in death by her Dad, Jerry, Grandparents, Walter & Kathryn and Frank & Helene. Meredith will be dearly missed by family, friends and co-workers. Our family would like to thank Meredith's cancer care teams/staff at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, University of Washington Medical Center, & Harborview Hospital. A very special thank you to Dr. Elena Gabriela Chiorean. Also, a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Michael L. Gilbert & Dr. Virginia Henderson at Northwest Vision Institute. Diana Marie Brown, of Lynnwood Washington, died at Evergreen Health Hospice of Kirkland Washington on October 15 , holding the hand of her eldest daughter. She was born the eldest of four siblings in Minneapolis, Minnesota on November 1 , 1937, to parents Henry and Tillie Sauve. The family moved in her early years to Eastern Washington. Diana attended Naches High School before studying at the University of Puget Sound where she received a Master of Business Administration. Diana was a skilled writer and one of her writings was chosen for publication in a book named, "From Inside Out: Writing from Subjective to Objective". Diana prided herself on always being a hardworking, dedicated employee who was never late and never missed a day of work. Putting her heart and soul into every job she performed. Diana was a brilliant woman who landed a position at Paccar and Foundry in 1967 as a secretary. Her hard-working, dedicated, and innovative work style earned her several promotions as she rose quickly to the position of Assistant Corporate Secretary of the Corporation of PACCAR. In 1985, Diana moved to Alaska Air Group where she retired in 1995 as the Director of Shareholder Services/Assistant Corporate Secretary. During her work tenure she took part in an educational study, sponsored by Washington Round Table which resulted in a one-million-dollar allocation to state schools for teacher training. Some of her favorite hobbies were camping and fishing for trout with her husband and two daughters at Bumping Lake in Washington State. Diana enjoyed spending time with her brothers and sisters at family gatherings at her mom's house where they played cards and laughed together well into the evening. She loved cruising on Princess cruise lines and visiting many different and exotic places. She always wanted to go on a cruise around the world, instead she is going on a tour of the universe. Diana was a humble and generous soul who always thought of others before herself and every year provided hot meals for the hungry during the holidays. Her favorite charities to support throughout the year were those for our veterans and first responders. In 1998, Diana was preceded in death by her best friend and love of her life, Robert Burns Brown. She is survived by two daughters, Kathy Thatcher and Kelly Bunich; son-in-law, Rand Thatcher; four grandchildren, Garrett Thatcher, Brian Thatcher, Rachelle Bunich and Jacob Brown; five great grandchildren, Beau Schenck, Henry Thatcher, Samson Thatcher, Theo and RoseMae Brown; and siblings, Rita Hellbush, Jim Sauve, sister in-law Debbie Sauve, Carol Milliron and brother-in-law, Richard Milliron. Diana departed this world for Heaven embraced by the loving arms of Jesus. Memories of her will forever hold a very special place in all our hearts until the day we meet again. She will be deeply missed.Show more

Enrico was blessed with a loving marriage of 38 years to Josefina. He was a devoted father and proud grandfather. His love and guidance for and selfless devotion to his family was an example and aspiration to all close enough to witness and learn from. Enrico was born to Costanza and Vittorio on December 27, 1955 in Foggia, Italy. He began his journey in the Italian Navy, serving as an Ensign assigned to the Admiral Chief of Navsouth Command Ops in Naples, Italy. Following his military service, Enrico embarked on a remarkable 30+ year career in the European and American aerospace industries. His love for aviation was a lifelong affair. He brought his talents and experience as a leader and problem solver to all the groups he worked with. He was a lifelong passionate Ferrari tifoso never missing a Formula 1 race and the chance to cheer on his favorite team. He was an avid tennis player. His overhead shot complete with scissor kick stunned teammates and adversaries alike, a pro move no one had an answer to. His team won last year's Sectional Championships and it was his doubles team's winning match that qualified them for the National Championship in Orlando, Florida. Enrico loved his family and friends. His legacy of service, love, and dedication will continue to live on in all of us. Enrico's funeral Mass was held at the Blessed Sacrament Church in Seattle on November 13 and his burial followed at Holyrood Cemetery in Shoreline. Thank you to all who joined us in prayer to give Enrico the sendoff he so deserved. Marilyn was born in Newton, MA and spent her childhood there with summers spent on Martha's Vineyard, solidifying her life-long love of the Vineyard and sandy beaches. After graduating from Penn Hall, she worked at Raytheon, where she met her husband, Morrie. They were married July 2, 1955 and lived in Waban, but eventually settled in Needham. In Needham, Marilyn and Morrie was very active in Christ Church and the community. When her girls were growing up, summers were spent in Chatham and involved lots of time spent swimming and sailing. After Morrie died, Marilyn moved to Waltham and returned to spending time on her beloved Martha's Vineyard. She also joined the Church of the Advent in Boston, where she was an active member of the altar guild. A friend at the Advent re-introduced her to the Red Sox and she became a die-hard fan. She loved watching 'her boys' at Fenway and followed them closely wherever they played. Spending time at the beach was Marilyn's favorite past-time. Wherever there was a beach, you could find Marilyn walking with her head down looking for shells. She also had quite a green thumb and never met a plant she didn't like. Marilyn was pre-deceased by her husband Morriss 'Morrie' A. Smith. She is survived by her daughters, Marcia Smith of Boston, MA and Tracey Smith (Doug Redfield) of Eastsound, WA, her granddaughter, Margaret 'Teddy' Redfield of Chicago, IL and her beloved cat, Doodle.
