"Evelyn K (Kremer) Laramore, of Cooper, Texas, passed away on November 9, 2023. She was born on December 26, 1934, in England, to Annie Maude (Whicker) and Morris Kremer. Evelyn had a distinguished educational background. She earned her Nursing diploma from Margate General Hospital in Kent, England, in 1956, and went on to obtain a Bachelor of Arts degree from Midwestern State University in 1984. Throughout her educational career, she was recognized for her achievements and received various awards, including the AMCO Award of Excellence in Theatrical Arts. Evelyn was also a Multiple Scholar and was listed as a noteworthy Nursing Supervisor by Marquis Who's Who. She was a member of several honor societies, including Mortar Board, Alpha Psi Omega, Mu Phi Epsilon, and Pi Cappa Delta. Evelyn had an extensive career in nursing. She worked as a Nursing Supervisor in Britain, a Night Nursing Supervisor at Wichita General Hospital in Wichita Falls, TX, a Director of Nursing at the Wichita Falls Clinic, a Director of Nursing in the Emergency Room at Bethania Hospital in Wichita Falls, and a Supervisor at Red River Psychiatric Hospital. Her dedication to the nursing profession helped many patients and inspired those who worked alongside her. Evelyn had a passion for performing in local productions in Wichita Falls, TX, and enjoyed traveling. She found great joy in spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, as well as her friends. Evelyn was proud of her family and cherished the memories they made together. Evelyn is survived by her son, Stephen Laramore and wife, Lanett; grandchildren, Aaron Laramore and wife, Teena, Janie Laramore, Nolan Laramore and Devon Laramore; and great grandchildren, Noah Laramore and Abigail Laramore. She is preceded in death by her parents, son, Phillip N. Laramore (2011); and brother, Paul Kremer (1984). "Show more

Daniel J Thedford, 63, of Cooper, Texas passed away Saturday, July 8, 2023. A Memorial Service is scheduled for 11:00 a. m. Monday, July 17, 2023, at Calvary Baptist Church, Cooper, Texas with Brother T. J. Willingham and Brother Glenn Michael officiating. Daniel was born on December 16, 1959, in Austin, Texas. His parents Frank and Dorothy "Holman" Elliott have preceded him in death as well as his beloved dog, Bit Bit. He married Ruth Howard on December 23, 2004, in Lake Creek, Texas. He graduated from DeSoto High School in 1978. He worked as a Pipe Loader for Turner Pipe in Paris, Texas from which he retired. He was raised in a deeply rooted Christian home and was a firm believer in our Lord Jesus Christ. He was a member of Pacio Baptist Church for many years and then became a member of Calvary Baptist Church in the recent year. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Thedford of Cooper, Texas; his dog, Levi; stepdaughter, Mystie Wilson and husband, Randy, of Sulphur Springs, Texas; four grandchildren: Kierstan McDonald, Skylaar Wilson, Mackenzie Wilson and Savannaha Wilson; two brothers, Paul Eugene Thedford and wife, Susie, of Pecan Gap, Texas and Frankie Elliott and wife, Sheila, of Lake Creek, Texas; two sisters, Tammy Michael and husband, Glenn, of Sumner, Texas and Tania Parson and husband, Lee, of Sumner, Texas; close cousin, who is considered and thought of more as a brother, Billy Thedford and wife, Jenny, of Lake Creek, Texas as well as numerous nieces and nephews. William Dean "Buddy" SimsAugust 17, 1943 - December 30, 2022Buddy Sims was born on August 17, 1943, to Clarence and Frances Sims of Klondike Texas. He was preceded in death by his Father, Mother and sister, Margaret Palmer, of Klondike, Texas. He attended schools in Klondike and Cooper, Texas. After graduating he moved to Dallas where he worked for Ideal Bread Company running a bread route. He eventually moved to Sherman, Tx where he owned and operated two Handy Mart Food stores. He married his wife Michelle on November 10th, 1984, and they were married for 38 years. He retired the first time from North Central Foods in Dallas. Buddy quickly was bored with retirement and decided to go back to work for 7 years at Sears to keep busy. During all this time he helped coach his son's baseball teams and was heavily involved with the 4H and FFA programs. Buddy also raised cattle in his spare time. Buddy loved living in the country and being outdoors. He'd always be outside building fences, mowing, tending to cattle or maintaining his equipment. He is survived by his wife, Michelle Sims, son, Brian Sims, and wife, Leah Sims. Daughter Dara Carter and husband Brian Carter, Stepdaughter Tonya Hill Daugherty. Grandchildren Christopher Douglas, Kylie Pytel and husband Jarod Pytel, Haley Powers, Natalee Daugherty and Braxton Daugherty. Great grandchildren Addisyn and Draco Riley, Carly Powers, Laineey Douglas, and Lily Patel. Sister Martha Clark of Klondike, and too many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews to name. He loved them all. Buddy never met a stranger and loved to carry on conversations with anyone. He will be missed by all.Show more
