Mrs. Terry Jean (Bauch) Mitts of Swifton, Arkansas, departed this life on Sunday, September 10, 2023, at the age of 59. She was born February 2, 1964, in Walnut Ridge, the daughter of Vernon Edward Bauch and Pauline (Sharp) Bauch. Mrs. Mitts was a 1981 graduate of West High School in Rockford, Illinois. She attended Black River Technical College and earned her degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Mrs. Mitts worked at Arkansas Steel for over 25 years as a nurse. Mrs. Mitts enjoyed reading and spending time outdoors. Her family was her pride and joy and she looked forward to their vacations together and especially loved having her grandchildren over for sleepovers. She truly loved her family with everything she had. Mrs. Mitts was preceded in death by her parents; and her father and mother-in-law, Gerald Odell Mitts and Alvalene (Lawson) Mitts. She is survived by her husband, Perry Mitts, of the home; two daughters, Tera Blevins and Craig Crider of Swifton, and Chandra Templeton and husband, Nick, of Swifton; one son, Payton Mitts and wife, Amanda, of Diaz; six grandchildren, Caden and Chase Templeton, Jett and Presley Crider, and Josie and Luke Mitts; two sisters, Pauleitta Heisler of Rockford, Illinois and Shandra Higgins and husband, Tim, of Swifton; nieces and nephews who loved her dearly, Kayla Heisler, Jenna McKay, Tessa Higgins, Savanah Higgins, Emma Johnson, Jill Church and husband, Dustin, Ben Jiles and wife, Lauren, and Justin Tharpe and wife, Anna; a host of many great nieces and nephews, relatives, and a lifetime of friends. Friends may visit at the funeral home Tuesday evening, 5:00 p. m. until 7:00 p. m. Funeral services are 2:00 p. m. Wednesday at Jackson's Funeral Home Chapel, with Mr. Bryce Shelton officiating. Interment will follow in Arnold Cemetery. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are James Russell, Bobby Gilmore, Shane Watts, Jeramy Johnson, Mark Ogden, and John Wayne Pettit. Mr. Marty Ray Harvey, Jr. , of Farmington, Missouri, formerly of Swifton, Arkansas, departed this life on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at the age of 35. He was born February 23, 1988 in Memphis, Tennessee, the son of Marty, Sr. , and Marsha (Norris) Harvey. Marty was a graduate of Swifton High School, and earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from SAU. He worked as the Manager of Sherwin Williams Paint, and enjoyed fishing and playing video games. Marty had a unique sense of humor, and loved being the center of attention. Above all, he adored his family and cherished the moments spent with them. Marty was preceded in death by one daughter, Infant Leela Raye Harvey; and his special cat, Prim. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Anderson Harvey of the home; his parents, Marty, Sr. , and Marsha Harvey of Swifton; one sister, Beth Sanders and husband, Ryan of Benton; his father and mother-in-law, Clyde and Renee Anderson of Ravenden Springs; one brother-in-law, Shawn Anderson of Ravenden; one sister-in-law, Brittany Kimble and husband, Kaylon of Vilonia; his nieces and nephews, Isabella Sanders, Emma Anderson, Sutton Kimble, Aiden Anderson, Noah Anderson, and Maddox Kimble; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and a lifetime of friends. Mrs. Susie Faye (Jones) Fallis of Swifton, Arkansas, departed this life on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at the age of 86. She was born on Christmas Day, 1936, in Swifton, the daughter of William T. and Ethel Gracie (Tatum) Jones. On December 23, 1954, Miss Susie Jones married Mr. Carl Douglas Fallis, Sr. , and together they enjoyed 68 years. Mrs. Fallis was a hard worker, who worked many long hours to take care of the family she loved so much. Her husband, children, and grandchildren were her heart and soul. Mrs. Fallis enjoyed making her yard beautiful, mowing the grass, and tending to her flowers. When her children were young, she grew a garden, from which she would can the vegetables that kept her family fed. She loved babies, and her Chihuahuas and Yorkie dogs. Mrs. Fallis was a longtime member of the Swifton Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Carl Douglas Fallis, Sr. , on May 13, 2023; three brothers, Lannie E. Jones, W. C. Jones, and Doyle Jones; three sisters, Beatrice Hulen, Loretta Kinder, and Verna Parsons; and her parents. Mrs. Fallis is survived by her children, Sonny Fallis of Swifton, Sam Fallis and wife, Judy of Newark, and Leitta Williamson and husband, Dave, of Cairo, Georgia; nine grandchildren, Cory Fallis, Jeremy Fallis, Felecia Fallis, Danny Williamson, Suzanne Mock, Stacy Scott, Kristin James, Kris Fallis, and Brian Fallis; fifteen great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and a lifetime of friends. Mr. Sammy Lee Goza of Swifton, Arkansas departed this life on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at the age of 72. He was born May 25, 1951, in Swifton, the son of Arkey Willis Goza and Jessie Mae (Wallin) Goza. Mr. Goza was a graduate of Swifton High School. On July 14, 1979, Mr. Sammy Goza was married to Miss Nina Wells, and they enjoyed 44 years together. During his lifetime, he had worked for several Ford dealerships. Mr. Goza enjoyed hunting, fishing, collecting antique cars, and loved his animals. He was an avid sports fan, and especially liked watching the Arkansas Razorbacks play. Most of all, Mr. Goza loved his family and friends, and cherished spending time with them. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Carroll, Jerry, and Charles Goza; one sister, Lovan Arnold; a special nephew, Rickey Henderson; and his parents. Mr. Goza is survived by his wife of 44 years, Nina Goza, of the home; one sister, Bernice Henderson of Swifton; many nieces, nephews, and a lifetime of friends. Friends may visit at the funeral home Thursday evening, 6:00 p. m. until 8:00 p. m. Funeral services are at 10:00 a. m. Friday at Swifton Church of Christ. Interment will follow in Swifton Cemetery. Mr. Carl Douglas Fallis, Sr. , of Swifton, Arkansas, departed this life on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at the age of 90. He was born April 17, 1933 in Alicia, the son of Allie Gus and Bessie (Humphrey) Fallis. Mr. Fallis was married to Miss Susie Jones on December 23, 1954, and together they enjoyed over 68 years, raising a family and building a home together. He was a United States Army veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Fallis was proud to be a veteran. He was a retired machinist, who never really stopped working. Mr. Fallis could build or repair about anything, and especially enjoyed working on tractors. He did not have a lazy bone in his body, and was a hard worker until his very last day. Mr. Fallis enjoyed tractors and old cars and, most importantly, loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a member of the Swifton Church of Christ. Mr. Fallis was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Gus. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Susie Fallis of the home; three children, Sonny Fallis of Swifton, Sam Fallis of Newark, and Leitta Williamson of Cairo, Georgia; nine grandchildren, Cory Fallis, Jeremy Fallis, Felecia Fallis, Danny Williamson, Suzanne Mock, Stacy Scott, Kristin James, Kris Fallis and Brian Fallis; fifteen great-grandchildren; one brother, David Fallis of Alma; and a lifetime of friends. Mrs. Carol (Woods) Higgins of Swifton, Arkansas, departed this life on Friday, March 3, 2023 at the age of 76. She was born November 27, 1946 in Newport, the daughter of Jessie Elmo Woods, Sr. , and Gladys (Wright) Woods. Carol was a 1966 graduate of Tuckerman High School. She worked many years at Norandal in accounting until her retirement. Carol was an avid reader, who especially enjoyed painting, watching cooking shows and flower gardening. She was a traveler, and along with her husband, Bobby, had gone on several cruises and bus tours. Most importantly, she loved her family beyond compare. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her granddaughters. Carol was a beloved member of the Swifton First Assembly of God. She was preceded in death by one brother, Elmo Woods, Jr; one sister, Faye Waite; and her parents. Carol is survived by her husband, Bobby Lee Higgins of the home; one son, Tim Higgins and wife, Shandra, of Swifton; three granddaughters, Savanah Higgins and fiance, Chase Turner, Jenna McKay, and Tessa Higgins; one sister, Flossie Woods Hollis of Jonesboro; six nieces, Taressia Stinnett, Hope Martin, Susan Ervin, Elaine Summy, Shannon Hollis, and Stacey Segraves; two nephews, Steve and Jessie Woods; several great-nieces and nephews; and a lifetime of friends.
