Terry Lee Lutz of Somerset, Ohio departed this life on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at the age of 55. He was born August 29, 1968 in Lancaster, Ohio, the son of Donald Lee Lutz and Marjorie (Ringhiser) Wilson. Terry had worked as a truck driver for many years. His hobbies included riding his Harley, shooting pool, and tinkering with his cars and motorcycles. He was known as a jokester and a bigger hugger. Terry enjoyed watching John Wayne movies and Gunsmoke. Most of all, Terry loved his family and friends, and cherished spending time with them. He was preceded in death by his father. Terry is survived by his wife of nineteen years, Carey (Thomas) Lutz; one daughter, Brandy Anderson of Logan, Ohio; two sons, Ayden Lutz and Terry B. Lutz, both of Somerset, Ohio; one stepdaughter, Skye Thomas of Glenford, Ohio; two stepsons, Christopher McGiffin, Jr. of Logan, Ohio, and Harley Thomas and wife, Brianna, of New Lexington, Ohio; his mother, Marjorie (Ringhiser) Wilson and stepfather, Stan Wilson; three sisters, Tara Jacobs, and husband, Jim, of Logan, Ohio, Vickie Jamison of Logan, Ohio, and Mary Brooks and husband, Chuck, of Logan, Ohio; one stepbrother, Keith Wilson and wife, Abby, of Logan, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Carson, Christopher, Jaxon, Nala, Bryleigh, Lincoln, Asher, and Declan; many nieces, nephews, and a lifetime of friends. Services will be held at a later date in Ohio. Arrangements by Jackson's Funeral Home.

Marjorie Ann (Dyke) DeLamatre, 91, teller of tall tales and ornery to her core, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 16, 2023, in Somerset, Ohio with family by her side. Born April 22, 1932, in Lorain County, Ohio, Marge grew up on her father's farm near Lattasburg, Ohio and graduated from Chester High School in 1950 before going to college at Bowling Green State University, where she earned her bachelor's and master's degrees in education. She spent most of her 30-year career as a guidance counselor at Millersport High School. Marge and her husband, Howard (Pete), raised their four children on a farm in Perry County near Somerset, Ohio. She loved hosting family and friends for holidays, poker games, and general chaos amongst the endless stream of cats and dogs that accompanied life on the farm. Her family and friends can attest to her great love of practical jokes and irreverent sense of humor. Marge was a traveler. In her younger days, she and some of her closest friends toured Europe and had lots of good stories to share. After retirement she expanded her travel horizons; traveling with her sister-in-law, Elsie, to visit Tim in Africa, and hitting the road with Pete in whichever direction they could find golf and a poker game. She especially enjoyed the winters they spent in Tucson, playing golf and poker, and soaking up the sunshine with family and friends. She is survived by her daughters, Chris DeLamatre and Marty DeLamatre; her son, Tim (Mary) DeLamatre; her grandchildren, Joe (Emily) Stanley, Nick (Macy) Stanley, Emma Stanley, Katie DeLamatre, and Sam DeLamatre; her brother-in-law, Ward DeLamatre of Huron, Ohio; as well as nieces and nephews across the country who all have fond memories of visiting "The Funny Farm. " She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence S. and Ruth (Bechtel) Dyke; her husband, Howard DeLamatre; her son, Mike; and her son-in-law, Rusty Furniss. Funeral arrangements and a caring cremation are being handled by the Bope-Thomas Funeral Home in Somerset. A private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers or donations, the family encourages everyone to take a walk, plant a tree, or feed some birds in honor of Marge's birthday being Earth Day and to remember how much she loved the outdoors.Show more
