Terry Ray Eaton, 64, of Maysville, Missouri, passed from this life on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 in Kansas City, Mo. at Saint Luke's Hospice House. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a. m. Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Turner Family Funeral Home in Maysville. Visitation will be from 10:00 ~ 11:00 a. m. Terry was born in King City, Missouri to Albert Lamaster and Daisy Juanita (Murphy) Eaton on August 17, 1958. He went to High School in Maysville, and graduated in 1976. Terry worked as a correction officer and also for Peach Tree Door for many years. He enjoyed fishing very much and was a Chief's Football fan. Terry was a jokester, and he hated politics. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered as a loving dad, brother, and uncle. Terry is survived by his children, Janesca (Marc) Procter, Heather Eaton, Austin (Theresa) Eaton, brother, Gary (Pat) Eaton, nieces and nephews, Lance, Jim, April, Joy, best friend, Rick McGuire, many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Eric and Verlin Eaton, sister, Marjorie Moody, nieces, Linda Scroggins and Julie Eaton. Martha Joan Mallen-Howell, age 83, was born December 21, 1939, the daughter of Alvin Thomas and Vivian Chloe (Whiteley) Binstead and passed away at her home in Stewartsville on October 9, 2023. Joan graduated from Plattsburg High School Class of 1957 and after graduation attended Platt Business School, St. Joseph. Joan and David Mallen were united in marriage 1958, to this union five children were born. She worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for 25 years, from which she retired. Joan and Rex Howell were united in marriage in September of 1993. She was a faithful member of Culbertson Chapel United Methodist Church in Stewartsville where she was a Youth Group Leader and was a part of the United Methodist Womens' group. Joan was also a member of Jolley Workers' Club, Order of Eastern Star, and Pioneer Club. Joan loved gardening, cooking, bird watching, and rooting for the Kansas City Chiefs. Joan is preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Karen Lurae Mallen. She is survived by her husband Rex; four children Beth (Rick) Singleton, Cameron, MO, Barry (Rita) Mallen, St. Joseph, MO, Keith Mallen, Stewartsville, and Kevin (Tammy) Mallen, Savannah, MO; ten grandchildren, Gannon (James), Patrick (Jacqueline), Ray (Heather), Ashley, Audrey (Curtis), Charlotte (Shannon), Cierra (Brad), Marcus (Emily), Ryan (Megan) and Ashlyn; and ten great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p. m. Friday October 13, 2023, at Turner Family Funeral Home of Stewartsville. Funeral Services will be 10:00 a. m. Everett LeRoy Castor, age 82 a longtime resident of East Lansdowne, passed peacefully Friday, October 13, 2023 with his family by his side at Lankenau Medical Center. Born and raised in Maysville, Missouri, Everett was the son of the late Ivel and Sarah (nee Sherard) Castor. After high school Everett enlisted in the U. S. Air Force; he was stationed in Goose Bay, Alaska from 1959 until he was honorably discharged in 1963. Following his service, Everett moved to Philadelphia to pursue his college education at Drexel University. He graduated from Drexel with two Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. He began his working career at Western Union, where he was employed for 25 years prior retiring. He would then work for many years as an Electrical Engineer for STI Prepaid, LLC until 2011. Everett was a Scout Leader for the Boys Scout Troop 393, East Lansdowne for almost 20 years, helping many young men including his own sons attain their Eagle Scout rank. He was also a member and 4th Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus Peace Council in Crum Lynne; a member of the Daniel Boone Assoc. for almost 50 years; and a longtime member of St. Cyril-St. Philomena Church in Lansdowne. A loving and supportive family man, Everett was happiest spending time with his family; especially his grandchildren. Camping was something he enjoyed doing with his wife and family, from the comfort of the Holiday Inn down the street. Everett is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Elizabeth "Betty" (nee Selfridge) Castor; his children, Jim (the late Grace) Castor, Betsy (Dan) Druck, William Castor, Patty (Dave) Patterson, Mary Bilbrough (Steve Crouthamel); his 5 grandchildren, Cody, Erin (Steven Kurtz, Jr. ), Elizabeth (Nate Potter), Daniel, Jay and Shyann; and 2 great-granddaughters, Margaret and Melody. He was also the brother of Joan (the late Louis) Jones, Galen (Sue) Castor, Ruth (Bud) Nally, Terry (Patricia) Castor and the late Jean (Jack) Jones, Jim (Adeline) Castor, Steward Castor; and is survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Monday evening, Oct. 23rd from 6-8pm at the Kevin Lyons & The Marvil Family Funeral Home, 202 S. Chester Pike, Glenolden; and Tuesday morning, Oct. 24th from 9-10am at St. Philomena Church, 41 E Baltimore Ave, Lansdowne, PA 19050. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10am. Interment private. Gregory "Chico" Ray Brumley, age 57, of Maysville, Missouri passed away in Liberty, MO on April 13th, 2023. Gregory was born in Santa Rosa, California on March 25th, 1966 to Faith Shearer and Billy Ray Brumley. Gregory was married to Diane Cochran on November 14th, 2021. Gregory worked in tree service. His boss, Bob, stated that he and Diane were, and are, a major part of why his tree service company is what it is today. "He was the backbone of the company, and a lifelong friend. " Outside of work, Gregory and his wife were members of the Kingdom Builders church, where they got married. Gregory's favorite thing was fishing. Just behind that, was supporting his favorite sports team, the Kansas City Chiefs. If you tried to get him out of the house on game day, he'd always say, "I'm not going anywhere, the game's about to come on!" Gregory is preceded in death by his father, Billy. Gregory is survived by his wife, Diane; his mother, Faith; his children, Bradley, Kevin, Amber, Stephanie, and Shyann; his sister, Selena; his dog, Lucy, who misses him dearly; his two cats, Blacky and Callie; and many other beloved family, friends, and coworkers. Gregory will always be remembered for being an outstanding, hardworking man. Gregory's family plans to have a private memorial gathering in the near future.
