Obituary of Donald Terry Donald (Don) Terry, beloved father, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend, entered into peaceful, eternal rest on Thursday, November 23, 2023 at the age of 54. He is survived by his daughter, Jordan Gabrielle Terry (Cathy Springfield), his brothers, Leonard (Jay) Terry, Jeffrey Terry, Gregory Marshburn and sister Chana Brown and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Julia Ann and Elisha Terry Jr. Donald was born on February 13, 1969 in Washington, DC and later moved with his family to Upper Marlboro, MD where he graduated from Frederick Douglass High School in 1987. Donald's curiosity and love for engineering led him to further his education beyond high school at Lincoln Technical Institute. After graduating, he moved on to becoming an apprentice and then journeyman with the Local 602 Steamfitters Union; earning a degree in mechanical engineering. His career as an HVAC engineer afforded him many opportunities to execute and share the knowledge of his craft for which he was amazing. He was married in 1995 and into that union, Jordan Gabrielle was born. Donald was well known for his love of food (both preparing and EATING :)), Dallas (how bout dem Cowboys!), cats AND dogs, music, strumming the guitar and TENNIS SHOES. He had a great sense of humor, loved to laugh, never met a stranger and was a fierce debater of many subjects. As the favorite uncle (well now that secret's out), Donald doted on his nieces and nephews (Uncle Doofy) as though they were his own. Despite his often hard exterior, Donald was a sensitive, caring and lovable soul who softened with time and is a part of our lives forever as we carry him on in our memories. Home Going Services will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at the Chapel of Jones-Clark Funeral Home at 12:00 p. m. with Rev. Austin Lewis Officiating.
