Terry Nolen Harris, age 81, of Sylacauga, Alabama passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2023. Terry is survived by his sister Nancy Dobbs (Larry) and his brother Harold Harris (Carol); his uncle Larry Green, his nieces Michele Cochran (Mike), Melanie Finney, Shannon Faircloth (Billy),and Alicia Childress (B. J. ) and his numerous Extended Family Members. Terry was preceded in death by his father Nolan Harris and his mother Violet Harris. A visitation for Terry will be held Sunday, October 8, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Curtis and Son Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. Serving as pallbearers are Mark Green, Tommy Francis, Billy Faircloth, B. J. Childress, Camden Faircloth and Michael Wirth. Ms. Shirley Jean Davis earthly journey began on December 27, 1944, in Shelby County, Alabama to the parents of Leamon Davis and Johnnie Mae Williams Davis. Shirley united her faith with First Born Church in Calcis, Alabama, where she accepted Christ as her Lord and savior at an early age in life. She later united her faith with Evangel Temple Deliverance Center, Vincent, Alabama under the leadership of Elder Fred Ollie. While attending Evangel Temple, she served as an original Prayer Wheel of Harpersville. Shirley had a God given gift for children, which led her to serve as a youth director. She directed Easter and Christmas plays for many years, and she was firm on children learning their speeches by hard. Shirley received her formal education in Shelby County and graduated from Shelby County Training School. She furthered her education and attended Alabama A & M University and received a certification at Central Alabama Community College (CACC). Shirley was a dedicated employee with Shelby County Health Department, where she served for 25 years until her retirement in 1998. Shirley departed this walk of life on November 21, 2023, under the care of Coosa Valley Medical Center, Sylacauga, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leamon and Johnnie Mae Davis, grandparents, Lela Williams, Calvin Davis, and Mary Lou Rodgers, and aunt, Lucille Jones. Her love will forever be remembered by her devoted daughter, Sonya; one granddaughter, Satorria; two great grandchildren, Jatavien and Amiyah; five loving siblings, Doris, Joyce, Sara (Derry), Leamon, Debra, and Ruth; one uncle, Clyde Williams; nieces, Tarmece (Fred), Connie, Krystal (Rodney), Danitra, Danielle, and Kayla; nephews, Eric (Rhonda), Landon, RJay, Ian, and Cornelius; special friends and cousins, Mrs. Frances Perkins, Evelyn Olds, Bonnie Washington, and Rose Millender and a host of other relatives and friends.Show more

" - Ecclesiastes 3:2 A Time to Be Born Shamel Dior Smith was born on January 25, 2006 at St. John's Episcopal Hospital in Queens, New York to the parentage of Kimbalisha Smith and LeShaun Dinkins. A Time to Plant Shamel was a current senior at Clay Chalkville High School in Clay, Alabama. He was a three time bronze wrestler and excelled in this sport. A Time to Embrace Shamel began his new chapter at the age of 11 with Marlon and Phylis Spencer where he overcame many challenges and learned how to achieve greatness. A Time to Build Shamel was an excellent barber to his family and friends. His aspiration was to become a Master Barber and entrepreneur. He wanted to be a well sought out professional in the hair care industry. A Time to Love Shamel was energetic, lovable and a silly person who loved spending time with his family. He made them laugh, smile and had a passion for providing for his siblings. His barbering skills allowed him to create a better life for them. Shamel was kind hearted, a giver and an all- around joy to all he came in contact with. A Time to Die Shamel exchanged time for eternity on Tuesday, November 14, 2023. Zarria received her formal education in the Sylacauga City School System and later transferred to The Way The Truth and The Life Christian School, where she graduated with the class of 2022. After receiving her education, she was a faithful employee with Captain D's Restaurant, Jack's Family Restaurant and a short time at Coosa Valley Nursing Home in Sylacauga, Alabama. Raven received her formal education in the Sylacauga City School System and attended Sylacauga High School, where she was a part of the Sylacauga Aggie Basketball Team and the Aggie Track Team. Raven accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and united with Union Baptist Church. She had the privilege of being baptized by her father. She later united with House of Redemption Ministries in Sylacauga, Alabama. Raven was employed with Jack's Family Restaurant in Sylacauga, Alabama where she served as the restaurant manager. She was in the midst of attending and studying Medical Billing at the Safe Workforce Program in Sylacauga, Alabama. During Raven's spare time she had a passion for braiding and styling hair.
