Robert Bailey Jr

Robert Bailey Jr

Age - 40

November 21, 2023

"Robert Charles Bailey Jr. , lovingly known as "Chuck" or "Little Charles" was called to rest on October 21st 2023 at the age of 40. Born on December 31st, 1982 at Parkland Hospital in Dallas Texas, Charles was another treasured son welcomed by parents, Thea and Robert Charles Bailey Sr. As a child, Charles was always on the heels of big brothers Reginald, Terrill, and Chris, while being that pesky little brother, to sister, Stephanie! Charles was a true "character", very funny, always joking around, and at times, even a bit mischievous! Growing up at every chance, he loved to go fishing and swimming; he also enjoyed shooting pool, drawing, collecting comic books, playing cards, and video games. By middle school, Charles discovered a natural talent for running, and he was good at it, having been a stand-out member of the track team. After middle school, Charles attended Skyline High School as well as Bryan Adams High School Leadership Academy, having successfully earned his diploma in 2000. Even as a young man first venturing out into the "real world", it was evident, Charles was a hard worker, and he remained hard-working throughout his entire life. Oftentimes, Charles would be quickly promoted into positions of leadership on various jobs, a clear reflection of his likability and commitment to hard work, which eventually led to homeownership, an accomplishment Charles was very proud of. . . It was actually while at work, in 2007, that Charles met someone very special, Virginia, who too found Charles very special. Although they lost contact for a while, Charles and Virginia inevitably reconnected in 2012, and married on September 13th 2018. In addition to being a husband, Charles was a loving father, who embraced fatherhood, adoring each of his children Cameron Bailey (22), Eva Hernandez (19), Aiden Bailey (9), and Ja'zale Bailey (8). Charles lived life with a joyous outgoing spirit! He was very sweet and had the biggest heart. To those who meant the most, he would often say "I love you; now give me a kiss"! Charles always greeted those around him with a smile, a kind word, and heartfelt advice. He is loved by so many and will forever be missed. Charles was preceded in death by his brothers- Terrill Hamilton and Reginald Hudson, his paternal grandparents- Mr. Benny Bryant & Mrs. Mary-Lou Bryant, and his maternal grandparents, Reverend Alvin Fairley. & Mrs. Cecilia Fairley. Those who will continue to celebrate his life, include his wife Virginia Bailey, and his children (Cameron, Eva, Aiden, and Ja'zale); his parents- Robert C. Bailey Sr. and Thea Marie Arnold & Quincey Arnold; his father and mother-in-law- Juan & Naty Mercado; his brother- Christopher Bailey, his sister, and brother-in-law- Stephanie Goff & Guy Goff III; his nieces- Jaela Whitfield (23); Sariah Whitfield (17); Gianna Nicole Goff (16); Savannah Grey Goff (7); as well as uncles- Paul Bryant and Gregory Hamilton, an aunt- Monica Fairley, Evette Bryant and additional brother and sisters-in-law to include- Manuel & Aime Mercado; Gabriel & Jessica Mercado; Juan & Brenda Mercado; Sharon Hudson; along with countless other family members and friends.
