Teresa Anne Del Col was born April 30, 1935 in Castle Shannon Pennsylvania to Josephine and Santo Benedetti. Teresa passed away peacefully on June 15, 2022. She was, and will always be immensely treasured. Teresa and her family relocated to the Detroit Michigan area in her childhood, where Teresa and her 6 siblings grew up. In 1955 Teresa met the love of her life Mario Del Col at a dance club in Windsor, Canada. They were married August 25, 1956 and remained married until her passing having celebrated 66 wedding anniversaries. Teresa and Mario have 2 children, Michael in 1968 and Lucia in 1970. The family relocated to Tempe, Arizona in 1975 and established a wonderful home to raise their family. Many days were spent floating in the pool, various diving contests, and immeasurable fun days at the house on Wesleyan street. Teresa worked as a real estate agent, and managed several rental homes. Teresa balanced her life as a mother and homemaker while not working. Teresa was an amazing Italian cook, and her food was famous within her circle of family and friends. Mario also enjoyed the benefits of gourmet leftovers as he carried his lunch to work every day at Motorola - and his co-workers were curious about his delicacies on a daily basis. Teresa enjoyed travel in her retirement years, having been on several cruises, and of course spending time in Italy visiting extended family and friends. She shared her passion for cooking with many of her grandchildren. Teresa is preceded in passing by her brothers Frank, Ben, and Pete and her sisters Carmella and Rosie. She is survived by her husband Mario, her brother Robert, and her children Michael and Lucia. Teresa also had a deep love of her grandchildren Joshua, Faith, Justin, Joseph, Grace, Jack and Gina. She absolutely adored her great grandchildren Dominic, Eden, Percy and Freya. Services for Teresa are as follows: There will be a viewing and rosary service on June 27th from 5 pm - 8 pm at Queen of Heaven in Mesa. The address is 1562 E. Baseline Rd. , Mesa AZ 85204. On June 28th at 10 am there will be a mass at St. Stevens Catholic Church 24827 S. Dobson Road, Sun Lakes AZ 85248 and a police escorted procession to Queen of Heaven where she will be laid to rest. There will be a celebration of life following the service at the Oakwood Ballroom 24218 S. Oakwood Boulevard, Sun Lakes AZ 85248. The family requests donations in lieu of flowers.
