Sylvia Ann (Gaughan) Fawcett,86, formerly of Baden, died Friday October 6, 2023 at home Born April 29, 1937, Sewickley She was the daughter of the late John and Mary Gaughan In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by, infant brothers Paul and John, also preceded by sister, Mary Louise (Sister Sylvia SSJ) Survived by husband of 62 years, Charles C Fawcett III, her children, Charles IV and Susan Fawcett, Mary Elizabeth and George Matthews IV, John G and Jacqueline Fawcett, Sylvia Ann and Kent McGaughey, James P and Patricia Fawcett, grandchildren, Charles V and Alicia Fawcett, Maura and Alex Wickham, Casey Fawcett , Tara Fawcett, George V and Shannon Matthews, Elizabeth Anne, Geoffrey, and Barbara Rose Matthews, Megan and Drake Pedersen, and Joshua John Fawcett, Margaret Mary and Kelsey Ann McGaughey, and Caroline Fawcett, Julia Fawcett, James Fawcett Jr , Anna Fawcett, great-grandchildren, her pride and joy, Lucy Pedersen, McKenzie Matthews, Martin Pedersen, George Matthews VI, Charles Fawcett VI, and Conrad Wickham In 1955, Sylvia graduated from Mount Gallitzin High School and was employed in her first job at G C Murphies from 1953 to 1955 Sylvia met her best friend Nancy in first grade and wishes many thanks to Nancy (Double) and Gene Bolt for their lifelong friendship After high school, Sylvia became a beloved employee at H H Robertson for 8 years and later Ambridge Area School District for 17 years Sylvia was a devoted member of the former Saint John the Baptist Church in Baden PA for her lifetime She enjoyed her time as a member of the Baden Junior Women's Club from 1955 to present and was honored to serve as president from 1968 to 1969 Sylvia volunteered in the Ambridge Area High School Band Boosters from 1977 to 1993, and played cards , Bridge, Pinnacle, and Double Deck Pinnacle Clubs for 65 years Friends will be received Tuesday October 10, 2023 from 4:00pm-7:00pm, BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC, 1099 Maplewood Ave, Ambridge, PA 15003 A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday October 11, 2023 at 11:00am, St Jude Roman Catholic Parish, 180 7th St, Columbiana, OH 44408 Everyone please meet at the church Interment will follow at Mt Calvary Cemetery, Leetonia, Ohio To to the family or in memory of Sylvia Ann (Guaghan) Fawcett, please

"Corinne Pierette Meanor, 56, of Brighton Twp. , formerly of Ambridge, passed away August 23, 2023 at Brighton Rehabilitation and Wellness Center, Brighton Twp. Born September 29, 1966 in Rochester, she was the daughter of the late Harry K. Meanor Jr. and the late Marie-Jose' Drouilleaux Meanor. She is survived by her step mother, Madeline Carol Cindrich, Economy Borough. Corinne was a former employee of Giant Eagle, Leetsdale, a graduate of Ambridge High School, and attended New Horizon School, Brighton Twp. She attended St. John's Lutheran Church, Old Economy, Ambridge, volunteered with the Old Economy Village Workshop, and was a member of the Amigos of Beaver County, Sewickley Pa. She is survived by a sister and brother in law, Erika Lynn and David Hornyak, Esq. Robinson Twp. ; a brother and sister in law, Mark Andre' and Tracy (Ritzert) Meanor, Cranberry Twp. ; five nieces, Logan, Alyvia, Camyn, Chloe, Elise; and one nephew, Blaise. She was preceded in death by a brother, Harry K. Meanor III. The family will have a private ceremony at Oak Grove Industry Cemetery. Corinne loved being an aunt and was always eager to hear what was going on in the lives of her nieces and nephew. She was also an avid animal lover and her infectious giggle when watching animal videos would make anyone smile. She loved to reminisce and share childhood memories of those she grew up with and she especially liked talking about her trips to France.
