Susan Whitworth, 66, of Gerald, MO passed away Saturday, September 09, 2023. She is survived by two sons: Greg Evert and significant other Hannah Williams of Washington, MO and Doug Evert of Union; two daughters: Hannah Evert of Union and Haley Evert and significant other Joe Reising of Rolla; three grandchildren: Damien Williams, Jayden Boies, and Lily Williams; her mother, Patricia Keaton (nee' Stone) of Union; one nephew, Galen Nowak and wife Autumn of Imperial, MO; father of the children, Gary Evert of Union; along with other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at Oltmann Funeral Home in Union, MO with Rev. Max Bade officiating. Burial will follow in St. John's Mantels UCC Cemetery in Washington. Visitation for 66-year-old Susan Whitworth will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at Oltmann Funeral Home in Union. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to SSM Health Foundation or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The Whitworth family is served by Oltmann Funeral Home in Union, MO.

"Doris Jean Curtis, 88, of Gerald, MO passed away on July 29, 2023 at Frene Valley Nursing Home in Owensville, MO. Doris was born on August 7, 1934 in Chicago, IL to LeRoy and Dorothy Lucille (nee Earney) Hoblit. Doris had a diverse work history including Caterpillar Tractor company in East Peoria, IL; Arlans department store manager in Peoria, IL as well as the owner and manager of several general stores and restaurants/bars in Iron Mountain Lake and Black, MO. She was also the owner of a florist shop in Ironton, MO and Butterfield's Flowers in Farmington, MO. After moving to the Rosebud, MO area, she owned and managed several antique shops. She was a small business entrepreneur who possessed a keen sense for business combined with a dedication to hard work. She was proceeded in death by her husband, James Curtis, parents, son, Lee Curtis, daughter, Sandra Lafollette, and granddaughter, Jamie Curtis Murphy. Surviving are children Susan (Steve) Johnson of Gerald MO; Michael (Lisa) Crum of Kimberling City, MO; James (Barbara) Curtis of Belleville, IL; and Damon (Lynn) Curtis of Bremerton, WA; seven grandchildren, Steven Johnson, Adam Johnson, Deama Helms, Jacob Curtis, Christina Curtis, Joseph Curtis, and Crystal Curtis; 10 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and a special son-in-law, Stan Lafollette of Doe Run, MO. Interment will be in the Arcadia Valley Memorial Park cemetery in Arcadia, MO with a graveside service on August 30th at 1PM. Memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans organization. Milburn James "Dick" Schuetz, age 83, of Elm Mott, passed away early Tuesday morning, January 3, 2023 at Providence Healthcare Center in Waco. Graveside Service will be held 3:00 pm Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Gerald Cemetery in Gerald, with Rev. Terry McElrath officiating. Dick will lie-in-state from 10:00 a. m. until 1:00 p. m. at the funeral home on Thursday before the services. Dick was born July 2, 1939 in Leroy, the son of Adolph and Meta (Lander) Schuetz. He attended schools in Gerald and Leroy and was a 1958 graduate of West High School. Dick worked as a contractor building beautiful homes for many years until his retirement in 2004. He enjoyed dirt track racing in his younger days, reading, playing with the dogs, was an avid Dallas Cowboy Fan, and visiting with friends at the coffee shop. Dick loved spending time with his family and looked forward to their Sunday dinners. He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Gerald. Dick is preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Dolores Symank; and nephews, Ronnie Symank, Kevin Schuetz and Larry Dean Schuetz. Survivors include his beloved daughter, Michele Polansky and husband David of West; his brother, Clarence Schuetz and Helen; his twin brother, Wilford Schuetz and wife Barbara of Waco; granddaughters, Paige Crocker and husband Casey, and Emilee Polansky; great-granddaughter, Jaylyn Crocker; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Amanda "Mandy" A. Parnell, 33, of Gerald, MO, passed away at her home on August 29, 2022. Amanda Alyse Parnell, daughter of Stanley and Debra Isgrig, was born April 12, 1989 in Sullivan, MO. Mandy was blessed with one daughter, Alizabeth Mae. She enjoyed being Alizabeth's mother and creating memories with her, as well as with her love and soulmate, Tommy Smith. Spending time with her family and spoiling her nieces and nephews gave her so much joy. Being on the farm, hunting, fishing, and gardening were Mandy's passions. Mandy was a compassionate soul with a heart full of love for everyone, whether she knew them or they were a stranger. Mandy was considered an animal whisperer to all animals and you could always find her tending to nature's creatures. Mandy was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Bourbon, MO. Her faith in the Lord carried her through and gave her hope and comfort. She was a hard worker and was the first one to jump in to assist anyone. She was extremely OCD and you were always guaranteed to have satisfaction in her work. Edward Leroy Light, 86, of St. Clair passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2021 in Gerald. Edward, son of the late Roscoe Light and Wilma (Hults) was born July 4, 1935 in St. Clair. He was united in marriage to Patricia Hawkins. Edward served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War receiving an honorable discharge. He served as a Past Deacon and faithful member at Christ Chapel in St. Clair. Edward loved hunting and was known as a true fisherman. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, giving them rides on his 4-wheeler and tending to his garden. Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Roscoe and Wilma Light; two brothers, Kenneth R. Light, Sr. and Carl Light and three sisters, Mary Agnes Osseck, Dorothy "Dottie" Lowe and Sherry Erbes. Lindell Scott Peterson of Gerald, Missouri was born Friday, July 29, 1955 at St. Louis, Missouri to the union of Johnnie and Martha L. (Nee: Frick) Peterson. He left from this life on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at Mercy Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 63 years. Scott, as he was known by, retired in 2000, after nearly 30 years of working as a boiler maker for refineries. He worked in refineries all over the United States and in many different countries. After retirement, Scott enjoyed watching and listening to the baseball game. He enjoyed fishing, model cars and spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends. Scott was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is preceded in death by his parents Johnnie and Martha Peterson, two brothers Donnie and John Peterson and other family and friends.
