"Susan Kay Shaffer, age 74, of Bloomsburg, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family after a brief battle of cancer on Saturday, September 16, 2023, a patient of the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. She was a lifelong resident of Bloomsburg. Susan was born on Friday, September 24, 1948 in Bloomsburg, a daughter of the late Burton Clarence, Jr. and Phyllis Jean (Spayde) Coombe. She graduated from the Bloomsburg High School in 1966. On September 30, 1967, Susan married the love of her life, Todd H. Shaffer. For many years, she was employed as a Manager by Bloom Naturally, Bloomsburg until recently. She enjoyed bowling, fishing, cooking, arts and crafts and solving any type of puzzles. She was a fun, loving and caring soul, going out of her way to do the best for anyone, always putting others first. She was a great party planner, and no one ever left the party hungry. She loved helping everyone at her job and in life. She had a passion for her job and was determined to help anyone with an ailment that walked through the door and always left everyone with a smile. She enjoyed any opportunity to spend time with her family. In addition to her parents, Susan was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert Wayne Coombe, Sr. Survivors include her beloved husband of almost fifty-five years; Todd H. Shaffer of Bloomsburg, three children; Wendy Sue Shaffer of Bloomsburg, Mark Allen Shaffer and wife Stacy of Bloomsburg, Michael Todd Shaffer and wife Crystal of Bloomsburg, four grandsons; Brandon, Dalton, Anthony and Ethan and one great-granddaughter; Zoe, three siblings; Joyce Elaine Beaver and husband Charles of Berwick, Dale Burton Coombe, Sr. and wife Donna of Danville, Glen Howard Coombe and wife Carol of Bloomsburg and a sister-in-law, Donna Coombe of Bloomsburg. A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, September 22, 2023 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg. Our beloved wife, mother, sister and friend, Janet Kay (Kresko) Andreski, age 76, passed away on December 5, 2023, in Davison, Michigan after a long illness. Janet was born on June 14, 1947, in Detroit, Michigan to Betty and John Kresko. She graduated from Denby High School, going on to become a dental assistant. After marrying the love of her life, Richard Andreski, she relocated to the Flint area, ultimately settling in Davison, Michigan to raise her daughters Rebecca and Joan. Janet was known for her kindness, incredible thoughtfulness and her always present smile. From sewing, to painting, to cooking and beyond, she was creatively talented and always willing to volunteer at her children's school, at her church or in her community. For many years she worked caring for those in need at Davison's Outreach East. She was an incredible wife, sister and mother, and she adored her role and title of "Mimi" to her granddaughter McKenna. Her many family members and friends will remember her for the sticker filled cards she sent on birthdays because "kids love to get mail" and her Christmas cards and letters which she started on Halloween each year to get through her extensive list. Janet lived her life by faith and often reminded others that death isn't an ending, it's the beginning of something so much better. We are certain she walked into her savior's arms with joy. The family would like to give special thanks to hospice nurse Dori Lengyel for the caring love she provided to Janet in her last days. Janet is survived by her loving husband of 55 years Richard Andreski, her daughters Rebecca Andreski and Joan Dyer, her son-in-law Sam Dyer, her granddaughter McKenna Dyer, sister Nancy Hynick and brother-in-law Fred Hynick, as well as many family and friends. Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Betty and John Kresko. Janet will always be remembered for her kindness, warmth, and dedication to her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral service will be held at 1PM Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Faith Lutheran Church, 12534 Holly Rd, Grand Blanc, MI. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 1:00 pm, Tuesday, December 12, 2023, with visitation beginning at 12:00 noon, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 N. Dayton St. , Davison; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski, celebrant. Cremation will follow with burial in Richfield Union Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Outreach East of Davison. If desired, the family invites you to dress casually, encouraging Wisconsin Badgers or Green Bay Packers colors or attire in honor of John. John was born March 16, 1941, in Manitowoc, WI, the son of Herbert and Gladys (Brennan) Peterson. He was raised with 6 siblings in Valders, WI, before moving to Michigan at the age of 13 for his dad to work for GM. Enrolling in the Flint Community Schools, John was a standout athlete, playing football and track & field for the Fint Central Indians. He was a defensive specialist on the 1958 Flint Central State Championship Football Team, which earned him membership in the Greater Flint Sports Hall of Fame in 2004. After graduation, John went to work at A&P, before beginning his career in Plant Security at Chevy in the Hole. He retired from GM after 31 years of service. He proudly served in the Michigan National Guard, with activation during the Detroit Riots. John had a love for cooking, entertaining, people, and socializing which led to a secondary career, owning, and operating Bier Haus in Frankenmuth and JP's Chuckwagon & Concessions. In 1983, John would marry Judith (Ex) Barr, and together they would unite their families, adding an additional child, in-laws, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren over the next 40 years. John's love for sports continued throughout his life, playing softball, coaching many of his son's little league teams, and being an outstanding mentor and coach for all his grandchildren. He was known for quick wit, his keen sense of humor, being a pot stirrer, and his ability to never meet a stranger. In his free time John loved going to "Camp" on the Escanaba River near Cornell, MI, where he enjoyed family and friendship in the UP. Staying true to his roots, John was a huge fan of the Davison Cardinals, the Flushing Raiders, the Wisconsin Badgers, and the Green Bay Packers. He and Judy were big entertainers, hosting holidays, football, and summer parties to name a few. Their home was always the "gathering spot". Together, they enjoyed their cottage in AuGres, casino trips, watching NASCAR, attending their grandchildren's events, and playing Keno. During the Christmas Season, John was one of Santa's Helpers delighting crowds at family parties. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus #4090. John leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Judy, six children: Andy and Libby Peterson, Dan and Kathy Peterson, Brandon and Ashley Peterson, Kim and Joe Robinson, Angie and Eric Williams, and Kenny Barr (Yvonne Simmons), 13 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Paul and Rosemary Peterson, sister-in-law, Marilyn Ex, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herb, and Gladys; and siblings: Pat and Dorothy Peterson, Bernie and Dottie Peterson, Owen and Sue Peterson, Kathleen and Erwin Delsman, and Barbara and Roger Foerg. Maliki was a wonderful, energetic, loving, little boy who doted on his little sister. He enjoyed playing with dinosaurs, playing outside, and stacking things. Watching movies like Toy Story and The Good Dinosaur were his favorite. He has a wonderful loving family and he loved staying at his grandparents' house. There wasn't an animal that he didn't love. He was an amazing little boy and will be greatly missed. He had a passion for the outdoors, enjoying fishing and hunting, and spent cherished moments with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His love for the thrill of the casino, the camaraderie of card games (especially Euchre), and the satisfaction of gardening added rich layers to his vibrant personality. Known for his infectious sense of humor, Bob was a great joke teller, often engaging in playful banter and practical jokes with his twin brother. He was a sports enthusiast who excelled as a slow-pitch softball pitcher, demonstrated prowess on the hockey rink, and showed finesse on the bowling alley. His loyalty to Detroit sports was unwavering, and he could be found passionately cheering for the Detroit Lions and Detroit Tigers. Bob's love for football and baseball was a constant source of joy and excitement for those who shared in his passion. "Clark C. Parker, age 87, of Danville, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at his home of 30 years. He was born on Wednesday, January 29, 1936 in Bloomsburg, a son of the late Clark M. Parker and Jennie R. (Oman) Pelter. Clark attended the Bloomsburg High School. On December 15, 1977, Clark married his loving wife, the former Dolores C. Boone who preceded him in death on December 2, 2019. Clark was employed by the Bloomsburg Hospital in the Maintenance Department until his retirement in 2003. Clark was a member of the Bloomsburg Christian Church, where he regularly attended services. He enjoyed spending his time mowing grass, gardening, dining out at local restaurants and talking with his friends on the phone. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, Clark was also preceded in death by six siblings; Dorothy Atherton, Norman Parker, Jay Parker, John \u0026quot;Art\u0026quot; Parker, Harold Parker, and Clara Hosler.
