George Lee Terrell

Feb 03, 1952 - Jan 20, 2024

location-icon

Plant City, FL

George Lee Terrell, 71, Plant City, Florida went to be with the Lord on January 20, 2024. He didn't want to leave the the ones he loved so deeply and fought valiantly with all he had to push through for another day. As his illness began to take the best of him he never lost sight of what truly mattered most in his life, the love, the joy and true affection he felt from his devoted family and the love how felt in his heart and gave us so freely. His love will he felt and will live on in our hearts through eternity. During his last hours with us he was finally at peace and was surrounded by his loving family. George was born in Hillsborough, North Carolina on February 3, 1952 to his father Junnie E. Terrell and his mother Lila Mae (Lane) Terrell. His loving parents and his his beloved siblings Joyce, Katherine, Frank, Charlene, Diane, Gayle and Freddy all preceded him in death. His beautiful granddaughter, Emma Faith Terrell, infant, also heartbreakingly preceded him in death. George is survived by his loving wife Kimberly Terrell, his devoted and loving sons and daughters-in-law, George (April) Terrell, and Clinton (Jenna) Terrell. His 7 (seven) loving grandchildren, Sarah Belle, Lillian, Clinton Levi, Rachel, Molly, Scotty, and George III. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, and other special, loving relatives and friends. In his younger years he worked as a welder and an electrical Journeyman, working with his brother Frank, who lovingly taught him the electrical trade. George continued his education and became a licensed electrical contractor in Plant City, where he was respected and quickly gained a reputation of excellent workmanship. The best part of working for himself was being able to pass on his wisdom and his years of electrical experience to his two eager sons who worked by his side as having them with him was all he could ever want. In his eyes the sun rose and set in his son's and his grandchildren's eyes. When he talked about them his eyes could light up the room, he loved them so much. We will all miss him so much and he will never be forgotten. We hope he found a place to fish and catches the big one. One thing is for sure he won't have to worry about telling a fish tale of how big it was as he knows we wouldn't truly believe him anyway. But his stories and excitement were the best part. Memorial service will be held at Wells Memorial Funeral Home and Event Center on Saturday, February 24, at 11:45 a.m. Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. The memorial service will begin close to 11:45 p.m. Thank you to all of you that came to celebrate George's life. He enjoyed his time with you and those that cared and couldn't come he appreciated all of you.
