Susan (nee Adams) Farrell, 79, passed away in her home in Yorktown, NY, on August 31, 2023. She was born in Sleepy Hollow, NY, in 1953, the daughter of Richard and Jeanne Farrell, and was raised in Ossining, NY. Sue married her husband Jon Farrell and they moved to Yorktown where they raised three children: Jon, Jeff and Joe. Sue was a grandmother to Dylan, Faith, Avery, James, Jack, JJ and Wyatt. She was predeceased by her husband, parents and siblings. For many years, Sue worked as an LPN hospice nurse, where she provided quality end-of-life treatment to others. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 16th, 10am, at New St. Patrick's Church. After Mass, please join us in celebrating her life at the Yorktown Elks Lodge 2324, 590 Waverly Road, Yorktown Heights, NY 10598. All family and friends are welcome.

Agnes (nee Ciano) Dolan, 95, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was born in the Bronx on December 7, 1927 to Rose (nee Fuskino) and Alfred Ciano. Agnes attended Christopher Columbus High School in the Bronx. She had a long career as a bookkeeper before moving to Wilmington, N. C. in 1984. She then volunteered at many charitable organizations throughout the years. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, thrift shopping and creating crafts to share with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Bernard Dolan in 1974 and Jack Dolan in 1988. She was also preceded in death by her brother Al Ciano. She was a loving and devoted mother to Robert (Eileen) Dolan, Janet (Gerry) Giordano and Barbara (Brian) Lynch. She was Nanny Agnes to her 6 grandchildren: Jeremy (Julie) Giordano, Justin Giordano, Jacqueline Dolan, Jennifer (Joseph) Ascione, Kevin Lynch and Jack Lynch. She was also blessed with five great grandchildren: Ethan and Noah Ascione and Lucy, Jaime & Holly Giordano. She was "Aunt Mom" to Michael, John, Tommy and Chris Dolan. Agnes was an incredible woman who was extremely resilient and an inspiration to all who were lucky enough to have known her. She will be missed by so many including all of her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Our favorite Tin Can Sailor made his final voyage to be with Our Lord on October 29, 2023. Born in Chatham, New York, to Ethel and Sebastian Whalen on September 17, 1924, he was also brother to Arthur Whalen. Robert was a U. S. Navy veteran of WWII (1942-1946) and the Korean War (1951-1954). Part of his service was as 1st Class Torpedoman on the U. S. S. Gatling DD671. He said his two tours in the Navy were some of his best years. Robert was a kind, loving and generous husband of 68 years to Mary Lou, Pop to Patti and Dennis (Linda), Poppa or Snake to Lauren (Henry), Melissa, Dillon (Megan), and Collin, and Great Grand-Pop to Brooks Robert and Charlotte James. He was always Poppa Robert to relatives, loved ones and friends. Yorktown Heights was his home for 66 years, where he was also a parishioner of St. Patrick's Church. Commuting to Manhattan, Robert worked at NY Central R. R. , Union Pacific R. R. , and North American Philips Co. After retiring in 1993, he volunteered at Northern Westchester Hospital for many years. Robert and Mary enjoyed traveling and had some wonderful summer trips to the Jersey Shore visiting family and friends. Known for his wonderful sense of humor, meticulous lawn, manicured hedges, flower gardens, and notably, his preference for Budweiser, Robert will be greatly missed. We will carry you in our hearts forever. Smooth sailing, Pop. In accordance with Robert's wishes there will not be a wake. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Patrick's little stone church in Yorktown Heights on November 18, 2023, at 10:00 am, following his cremation. Eleanor C. Padovani, a long-time resident of Somers and business owner in Yorktown Heights, passed away on October 28, 2023. She was 87. Mrs. Padovani was the Vice-President of Yorktown Medical Laboratory, Inc. , in Yorktown Heights, before her retirement in 2020. She was born in 1936, in Bronx, NY, to Charles and Angelina Fralicardi, later graduating from Evander Childs High School in 1954. She worked for Eastern Airlines as a Flight Attendant until marrying her husband, Albert H. Padovani, in 1959. They were wed at St. Dominick's Church in Bronx, NY. Mrs. Padovani (known lovingly as Ellie or Little Ellie) will be remembered for her love of travel, cooking, being a little fashionista who always turned heads when she entered a room, being a true Italian mother who was always quick to help someone in need (or feed you too much food), and most of all, for her love of her family. Eleanor was also a big supporter of various groups helping people in need, whether it be local emergency services, veterans, children or animal welfare groups, as well as environmental conservation groups. Mrs. Padovani is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Raymond and Regina Padovani, their children Raymond, Jr. , Alex and Nicholas; her son Ronald Padovani, his children Kyle and Olivia; her son Richard Padovani and his partner Laila Parry and her daughter Lisa Padovani and her partner Brian Quimby. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, Albert, just last year. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Phyllis Madsen, 66, of Yorktown Heights, New York, passed away peacefully on October 21st, 2023, surrounded by her loving family after a long and valiant battle with breast cancer. Phyllis was born in 1957, to William and Maureen O'Connor. After graduating Yorktown High School in 1975, Phyllis worked diligently as a home health aide, serving the elderly with compassion and empathy. Phyllis will be remembered for her always present smile, unique and infectious laugh, as well as her generosity. She had an outgoing personality and was always willing to do anything for anyone. She left lasting impressions on all she crossed paths with. Phyllis was devoted to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchild. She looked forward to every family dinner, birthday party and event. She cherished the closeness of her family, and took great pride in her most important roles as Mom and Nana. Phyllis is preceded in death by her daughters Susan Marie and Jessica Madsen, her father William O'Connor and brother Daniel O'Connor. She is survived by her loving children, her daughters: ToniAnn (Justin) Foley, Maureen (Stephen) Madsen, and Mary (Mariarose) Madsen; her sons: Robert Madsen and Michael (Annie) Madsen; and her adored grandchildren: John (Joanna), Caleigh, Katrina, Keira and Kelsey Foley, Kayden, Sophia and Aubrey Madsen, Jasmine, Jadynce and Jocelyn Adams and her great-granddaughter Jordyn Foley; along with her extended family Victor Arcay, and Michael Buonfiglio. She is also survived by her mother Maureen O'Connor, her sisters Susan (Dennis) Riley, Joan (Bill) Brocker, Christine Rinaldi, and her brother William O'Connor as well as many cousins, nephews, and friends.
