Our beautiful mother, grandmother, sister and dear friend was reunited with the love of her life June 10, 2022. She left this world peacefully surrounded by her family. Elaine was born March 7, 1946 and was the youngest child of Clyde and Emma Griffiths. She grew up in Milford, Utah and attended Utah State University and Dixie College in St. George, Utah. It was in St. George that she met and married Bill Schenck. They raised four daughters together in Layton, Utah: Lori (Steve) Martin, Michelle (Jeff Cramer, decd. ) Schenck, Chris (Erich) Harvey, and Kathy (Eric) Williamson. She retired from Hill Air Force Base as a civilian employee in the shipment and planning logistics area. It was here she met lifelong friends that will also feel her absence in this world. After retirement she spent her time as caregiver for her many grandkids. She always joked that she had her own daycare center. Elaine was the center of her family’s world, and there was not much she wouldn’t do for them, either. . . .
