Sue Hurley Keathley, age 75, a resident of Brownsville, TN, departed this life on Sunday, September 10, 2023. Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at 11:00 AM at the Tabernacle Cemetery with Dr. Tommy Russell officiating. Sue was born on July 2, 1948, in Brownsville, TN to L. Z. Hurley and Myra Jo Thornton Hurley, both who preceded her in death. She worked as a bookkeeper. She loved playing golf and spending time at Tabernacle. She always enjoyed going to Destin, Florida and the beach. She loved her grandchildren and spending time with them. She is survived by her husband, Jim Keathley; one son, Alan Keathley (Leslie); two sisters, Nan Downing (Rick) and Linda Mann (Bradford); two grandchildren, Macon and Abby Keathley. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P. O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101. All arrangements and services are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN.

Jeff was born on January 4, 1960, in McNairy County in Selmer, TN to Curtis Dewayne Siler and Bess Brown Siler. He worked as a Production Superintendent for Lasco Fluids where he retired after over 30 years of service. He loved his country and served in the Tennessee National Guard. He loved life and loved his family. He always was delighted when his family would be together to celebrate special occasions. He was one who was fond of the outdoors and especially spending his spare time fishing. He loved watching movies and cooking for his family. He was preceded in death by his father, Curtis Dewayne Siler. He is survived by his wife, Glenda Daniel Siler of Brownsville, TN; mother, Bess Brown Siler of Brownsville, TN; son, Eric Siler of Brownsville, TN; daughters, Cassie Namowicz (David) of Bartlett, TN, Lauren Sterling (Dylan) of Brownsville, TN, Faith Fincher (Robert) of Pontotoc, MS, and Amy Pittman (Derek) of Jackson, TN; brothers, Paul Siler (Wanda), Andy Siler (Donna) and John Siler. He leaves a legacy of love for his eight grandchildren, Remi, Ryker, Callie, Cole, Eli, Wesley, Jacob and Jace. Pallbearers for the service will be members of his family and the Honorary Pallbearers will be the past and present Lasco employees. Carolyn Petty Davis, age 68, returned to her Heavenly Home on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, surrounded by her loving family in Dyer, TN. Funeral Services will be conducted on Sunday, November 26, 2023, at 2:00 P. M. in the Chapel of the Bells Funeral Home, with Bro. Rowdy Davis and Bro. Brad Bowie officiating. Burial to follow in the Walnut Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at the Bells Funeral Home from 3:00 P. M. until 5:00 P. M. Mrs. Carolyn was born in Milan, TN on September 26, 1955, to the late Amos Petty and Ruth West Petty. She was a strong, dedicated believer and LOVED JESUS!!! She was affectionately known as Mama Davis, Lola and Nini. Mrs. Carolyn loved being an EMT for Gibson County and she was very cool-headed when dealing with a crisis. She was an extraordinary cook who loved country cooking and was gifted in that she could duplicate a dish or dessert after tasting it, without needing a recipe. She was very adventurous and enjoyed life with a magnetic personality. She loved her children, loved teaching children and was a devoted homemaker to her family. Mrs. Carolyn was always the life of the party, and we can only imagine the celebration reunion she is experiencing now in Heaven. She was also preceded in death by one brother: Mike Petty; and one sister: Linda Tubbs. She is survived by her loving husband: Tom Davis of Dyer, TN; two sons: Alan Howard Copley (Marbelle) of Davenport, IA and Thomas E. Billy Castellaw of Brownsville, TN passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at the age of 89. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 20, 2023, at 1:00 PM at the Poplar Corner Baptist Church in Brownsville, TN. Bro. Eddie Mallonee and Bro. Bob Connerley will officiate the service. Burial will follow at the Holly Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, November 20, 2023, from 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM at the Poplar Corner Baptist Church in Brownsville, TN. Billy was born on December 16, 1933, to Brant Castellaw and Florence Wilma White Castellaw in the Holly Grove community in Haywood County. He served in the United States Army as an aircraft mechanic at Fort Lewis, Washington. After military service, he worked in residential construction for 35 years. He was a charter and faithful member of Poplar Corner Baptist Church, along with his wife and partner, Peggy Simpson Castellaw, and was heavily involved in the construction of those facilities. As a member of the Tennessee Baptist Bricking team, he helped brick many churches and worked with Tennessee Baptist Disaster Relief in the continental United States. He also traveled overseas with the International Mission Board on numerous construction projects. He enjoyed gardening, cooking a stew for friends and family, traveling, and was always ready to lend a helping hand to others in need. He always kept an atlas close by to monitor the whereabouts of his children and grandchildren. Billy was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Billy is survived by his two sons, Regie Castellaw (Kim) and Kevin Castellaw (Sonya), all of Brownsville, TN; one brother, James Brant Castellaw (Gerolyn) of Greenville, SC; one son-in-law, Hutch Hutchins; six grandchildren, Zack Ellington (Beverly), Brittany Baker, Joyce Ann Mattice (Bryan), Molly Bradley (Allen), Brett McDonald (Melissa), and Jeffrey Castellaw, and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years and the mother of his children, Peggy Ann Simpson Castellaw and his second wife, Joanne Simpson Castellaw; his parents, Brant and Wilma White Castellaw; one daughter, Jennifer Castellaw Hutchins; one brother, Bobby White Castellaw; and one sister, Evelyn Castellaw Miller. Willis Duke Warren, Jr. , age 79, passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at his residence. A Memorial Service for Mr. Warren will be held on Monday, November 20, 2023, at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Gadsden, TN, with Bro. Mike Jones, officiating. Willis was born on February 26, 1944, in Haywood County to Willis Duke Warren, Sr. and Dorothy Jean Moore Warren, both of whom preceded him in death. He worked in construction for many years, where he will long be remembered as hard worker. He loved this country and served in the National Guard Army. He was a spiritual man who loved God and the work of the church. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gadsden, TN. He would greatly enjoy the Civil War reenactments. He loved to dance and found great pleasure in spending time with his family, his grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Bowers of Chapel Hill, TN; two brothers, Keith Warren (Nancy) and Carl Warren (Julie); one sister, Sue Ellen Lesikar; grandchildren, Thomas Reid Bowers (Carley), Bryant Alexander Bowers, Harrison Duke Warren, and Sophia Claire Warren; great-grandchildren, Jax Thomas Bowers and Kayson Elissa Bowers. Jimmy Allen Horn, Jr. , age 54, of Brownsville, TN, left this earth for his heavenly home on November 12, 2023. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at 11:00 AM at the Brownsville Funeral Home with Rev. Derrick White officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday evening, November 17, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Brownsville Funeral Home. He was born on June 2, 1969, in Jackson, TN to Jimmy Allen Horn, Sr. and Shirley Horn. He was a 1987 graduate of Jackson Central Merry High School, a 1996 graduate of Lambuth University, where he studied for a Master of Music Education degree from Murray State University, and a 2014 graduate of Memphis Theological Seminary, where he received a Master of Divinity degree. He was a member of Ed Worsham Masonic Lodge #505, Alamo Lodge #164 and Jackson Chapter #85 Order of the Eastern Star. He loved music, movies, games, and spiritual debates. He was especially fond of his two cats, Maestro and Melody. He will long be remembered as one who loving, kind, funny, always joking, spiritual, faithful, a good man, husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Allen Horn, Sr. , and his brother, Jonathan Horn. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 28 years, Katherine Horn; his mother, Shirley Horn; brother, Tony Horn (Leigh Ann); sister, Rachel Ward; nephews, Aiden Horn, Gavin Horn, Finn Horn, Thalen Ward, Louis Claus (Lauren), Alex Marsh, Zach Marsh; his niece, Zoe Marsh. Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at 2:00 P. M. in the Chapel of the Bells First Baptist Church, with Bro. Mark Wade officiating. Burial to follow in the Gadsden Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at the Bells First Baptist Church from 12:00 P. M. until the service hour at 2:00 P. M. Mr. Cayce was born on September 10, 1952, to the late Donald Wright Nanney and Harriet Florence Edwards Nanney. Cayce worked for Crockett County EMS as an EMT-IV Certified with 30 years of service, the Crockett County Jail for four years, and Alamo Construction Company. He had his own handyman business and other various jobs. He was a hard worker, dedicated and trustworthy. He was in his third term as Crockett County Commissioner. He always voted with his heart, not politics. Bells First Baptist Church holds a special place in his heart. He was a dedicated member, and loved his SALT Sunday School Class, Pastor, and staff, and helping in the nursery. Cayce loved life, his family and his "Nan-Farm"! He was an avid hunter, mainly deer and turkey, fishing, trot lines and crappie fishing. He loved being in "the bottom", South Forked Deer River and Hatchie River. Also preceding him in death is one sister: Brenda Nanney Fergie; one brother: Robert "Dee" Nanney; and his first-born son: Joshua Nanney. Cayce leaves behind his wife of 42 years: Kim Nanney of Bells, TN; one daughter: Michele Nanney of Gadsden, TN and her two children: Camille and Nicholas Ivie; two sons: Drew Nanney and Caleb Nanney of Bells, TN; one brother: Donald Nanney (Joyce) of Bells, TN; He also leaves a host of extended family and friends, his horse "Jack", his mini horses, and most recently his constant companion, his puppy "Little Bit".
