Martin, Dr. Stuart Desmond, 68, of Richmond died Friday, April 19, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stuart Desmond Martin, Sr. and Joyce Agnes Jones Martin. He is survived by his partner, Thomas Anthony; daughter, Adelaide Alexis Martin Urban (Patrick); mother to his daughter, Barbara Martin-Davis, was granddaddy to Michael and Robert Urban; sisters, Helen Madison (Jim), Allison Gasser (Steve), Lyle (Jen); nephews, Jimmy, Stephen, Brian and other loving family and friends. Stuart graduated from Hermitage High School, William and Mary and Medical College of Virginia (MCV). Stuart was a dentist in private practice, research and a favorite teacher! Stuart loved horses and entertaining family and friends! Stuart lived in Norway in the 80s and always cherished his Scandinavian connection. The family will receive friends 2 to 4 p.m., Wednesday, May 1, at Bliley's-Central, 3801 Augusta Ave. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude, St. Mark's Episcopal or the American Heart Association.
