Stuart Hagerty Obituary

Stuart "Stu" Hagerty passed away at his home on October 3, 2023 with his loving wife at his bedside. Stu was 82 years old. He was born and raised in Cranbury. He attended Cranbury grade school, graduated from Hightstown High School in 1959, and attended Temple University graduating in 1964 with an Associates degree in Technology. Shortly thereafter, Stu was drafted into the Army and served for 2 years. He achieved the rank of Specialist 4th class. Before his retirement Stu was employed as a mechanical designer for David Sarnoff Research in Princeton. Stu was predeceased by his parents Harold and Marion Hagerty and his sister, Susan Hagerty, Esq. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary Ann, Three sons, Patrick, Brian, and Robert; his sister-in-law Kathryn Hartman of Lenoir, NC, brother-in-law William Klimowicz and his wife Julie, of South Brunswick. Stu is also survived by his three beloved grandchildren, Declan, Lorelai and Amelia, and many loving nieces and nephews and friends. He also leaves behind his two adoring cats, Rufus and Tootie. Stu was a happy, intelligent man with a remarkable Memory. He had the gift of gab and could converse with anyone about anything. His favorite past times were watching NASCAR races, soccer games, fishing, gardening and taking care of his home and traveling. Stu was a member and past Exalted Ruler of the Hightstown Elks Lodge, a member of the Apollo Masonic Lodge, and a member of the Cranbury Golden Agers. Cremation was private. A memorial service will be held at a date and time to be determined.
