Steven Hobbs Obituary

"Steven Thomas Hobbs, 52, passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at the Iowa Veterans Hospital in Des Moines, IA. A Memorial Service will be held Friday 11:00am, Friday May 12, 2023 at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 3rd St NE Mason City, IA, with Mark Doebel officiating. Inurnment will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City, IA. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 10:00am to 11:00am on Friday May 12, 2023 at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel. Steven was born on September 6, 1970, the son of Dennis and Diana (Stricker) Hobbs of Mason City, IA. Upon graduating from Mason City High School he enlisted in the US Army. He proudly served his Country for 20 years before retiring from the Army National Guards. Steven also had a successful 35 year career in HVAC. Steven was happiest spending time with his two children and three grandchildren. He also was an avid outdoorsman and spent time camping, fishing, and hunting as often as possible. Those left to cherish memories of Steven are his children, Josh Hobbs, and Angie Hobbs; grandchildren, Emberleigh, Wyatt and Kaizen; mother, Diana Hobbs, sisters, Debra (Brian) Hobbs-Overland and Mindy (Tim) Hanson; aunts, Sandee (Arlin) Pals, Cindy (Brian) Smith, Sue Johnson and Wanda Stricker; nephew, Cody Overland, nieces, Nora Hanson, and Autumn Overland; as well as numerous cousins. Steven is preceded in death by his father, Dennis Hobbs; grandparents, Clarence and Mary Hobbs, and Jack and Alice Stricker; uncles, John and Tom Stricker; and cousin, Brian Isch. "
