Steve Marusa Obituary

Steve R. Marusa, age 42, passed away Monday, May 8, 2023. Beloved former husband of Denise R. (nee McDonough); devoted father of Steven P. ; cherished son of Richard and Charlene (nee Stepp), son-in-law of John McDonough, and grandson of Ruth McDonough; loving brother of Stacey Lee (Michael), and Stephanie Marusa, and brother-in-law of Sylvia Burnett (Robert), and Cindy McDonough (Matt Sevier); dear uncle of Skyler, Jaden, Emma, Mason, Madison, Ella and Matthew; nephew of Shirley Stadnik, Daniel Stepp (Diana), Richard Stepp (deceased), and Denise Stepp (deceased); and loyal friend to many. Steve was an active part of Richland Motors, his family's business, for over twenty-five years before becoming owner. He was a jack of all trades and a "Mr. Fix It", who loved cars, especially sports cars, and trucks. He was also a sports fan and was a particularly passionate fan of the Cleveland Browns. While he was considered to be a man of few words, when surrounded by his close knit group of family and friends he became the life of the party, enjoying dancing and listening to music, particularly country, and a good Bud-light beer!Steve also loved anything to do with the outdoors, be it swimming or just enjoying the sun and working on his tan, but he also enjoyed a few indoor activities like puzzles and building with lego's. Steve was especially devoted to his son, and they particularly enjoyed spending time together hiking, swimming, and building with lego's. Steve is remembered as someone who never complained, but instead was always "Mr. Happy", and was considered by both his family and friends as "one of the good ones".
