Willodean Lewis, who was born November 6, 1942, in Double Springs, AL, age 81, passed away on December 3, 2023, at her home in Elmore, AL She was a beloved mother, nanny, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Willodean was a devoted mother and nanny. She Loved spending time with her children and grandbabies, sharing stories and watching their favorite TV shows. She was as sassy as they come and known for "telling it like it is". In her free time, Willodean enjoyed growing flowers, going to flea markets and loved the beach. Willodean was preceded in death by Sammy Lewis (father) Eula Lewis (mother), James Grace (son), JD Lewis (brother), Julius Lewis (brother) and Christine Riddle (sister). Willodean is survived by her children, Bruce (Jodi) Grace, Patricia Brooks, Lynn (Darrin) Lucy, and Amanda Watley. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Angel Luster, Halley Driver, Abby Driver, Mikee Lucy, Emereigh Lucy, Kaliyah Watley, Bryelin Watley, Jonathon Brooks, Joshua Brooks, Kimberly Brooks, Jerry Grace, Bruce Grace, Jacob Pulliam along with 19 great grand-children and 6 great-great grand-children. A visitation for Willodean will be Monday, December 11, 2023 from 12:30 - 1:30 PM at Ridouts Prattville Chapel with a graveside service at 2:00 PM at Prattville Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Darrin Lucy, Chase Luster, Jonathon Brooks, Jessie Watley, John Driver and Terry Tenney. Honorary pallbearers are Bryelin Watley and Mikee Lucy. Anna Pennington

Anna Jean (Ann) Pennington, age 91, of Prattville, Alabama passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 3, 2023. Ann was born in Chicago, IL, on August 21, 1932. After her childhood, she moved to Texas with her family where she attended school and married Richard Eisemann. She later moved to Warner Robins, GA where she and Richard raised 4 children. She worked as an Executive Assistant at Charter Medical Corporation in Macon, GA. She also worked in the Medical Transcription field for many years. She relocated to Arlington, Texas, where she attended and was an active member at Grace Presbyterian Church. Ann loved to be an active member of her community regardless of where she was. She volunteered with the New Day Food Program where she coordinated volunteers and provided weekend food bags for children in the Arlington School District. She also served on the Worship Committee and participated in Sunday School and Women's Circle. Ann was known to be an avid bridge player, where one of her favorite past times included weekly bridge games at the Arlington Bridge Club. Into her 80's, Ann was an active member of the senior bowling league in Arlington. Ann was an avid reader, and she loved long conversations with her family and friends. She always enjoyed game nights where she took no mercy on her opponents. She was often the winner of backyard ping-pong matches well into her 70's. Ann enjoyed movies, museums, the local symphony, community theater and the Dallas Cowboys. Ann loved spending time with her grandchildren and had special relationships with each of them. Ann also enjoyed a close relationship with her son in law Dennis, they shared many root beer floats, glasses of egg nog, and bowls of ice cream together. She will be missed. Ann Pennington is survived by two sons Richard and Brad, and one daughter Susan, seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and many special friends and loved ones. Anna is predeceased by her father, Norman Ratteree; mother, Mildred Ratteree; and her daughter Marilynn Eisemann Shockley. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www. Tara Rose of Prattville AL, passed peacefully, surrounded by family on Nov. 28, 2023. She was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Ann. She is survived by husband Peter Rose, daughter Kaitlyn and son Tyler of Pittsburgh, PA. ; brothers Michael and Jason Holland of Kentucky. She is also survived by her father Bill Holland of Pittsburgh. Tara is a 10 year USAF veteran. Tara earned multiple college degrees and she attended Thomas Goode Jones School of Law. As a Pro Bono award winning attorney, she established Rose Family Law in Prattville. Previously, she helped to establish Montgomery Divorce Law as a Partner. A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Flat Line Church, 2938 Lower Wetumpka Rd, Montgomery, AL 36110 with a visitation 1 hour prior.Show more

Jerry Cantrell

Jerry LeBron Cantrell, age 83, died December 2, 2023 in Prattville, Alabama. He was born November 26, 1940 in Chickamauga, Georgia to George Harold Cantrell and Kathryn Prichard Cantrell. He grew up in the East Ridge, Tennessee community and attended Chattanooga City High School before serving in the US Air Force. He attended the Sunset School of Preaching and became a church of Christ minister at the age of 26, serving congregations in Georgia, Illinois, Oklahoma, Florida, and Alabama. In addition to local ministry, he did mission work in various parts of the world, eventually becoming the director of Biblical Studies in Guyana, South America. Jerry is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary Alice Shelton Cantrell; three sons: Keith (Angela) Cantrell, Kyle (Tiffany) Cantrell, Kevin (Lori) Cantrell; daughter: Kristy Cantrell. Grandchildren: Ryan, Kaylon, Corey, Bliss, Glory, Trace, and Spenser Cantrell, Falyn Skarecky, Tori Parent, Parker and Payson Marsh, and 11 great grandchildren. He had one sister, Gayle Hassler (Tommy), Smyrna TN. Celebration of life services will be Saturday, December 9th, at the Prattville Church of Christ, where Jerry served as an elder for many years. Visitation will be at 10am with a memorial service following at 11 am. His service will also be live streamed through Prattville Church of Christ website through YouTube.
