TERRY LEE WALKERJune 29, 1976 - November 4, 2023 The son of Leland Walker and Ruth "Vandiver" Walker, Terry was born on June29th , 1976 in Ardmore, OK, and passed away on Nov 4th , 2023, in OU MedicalCenter Hospital at the age of 47 years 4 months and 5 days. He was a resident of Southern Oklahoma all his life, Terry graduated fromMarietta High School, 1995. He worked for Smith Construction and thenOklahoma Department of Transportation. After 25 years of loyal and dedicatedservice with ODOT, he medically retired August 2023. In his leisure time heenjoyed traveling, camping, buying equipment, cattle, working on his farm, andchasing his chosen "kiddos", there was always something happening. Terry was amember of the Milo Baptist Church, Springer Volunteer Fire Department andTexoma Football Official Association. He leaves to cherish his memories; the loveof his life, his wife Rhonda Barnes Walker of Springer; parents, Leland and RuthWalker of Springer; sister, Dalhia Walker of Springer; mother in law, Wilma Barnesof the home; and his boys, Bandit, Blue and Jinks; nieces, Michelle Faulkner,Kimberly Phelps & Ashley Lewis; nephews, Aro Allen, Brandon Faulkner andJacob Herrington; great nephews, Elijah Mims & Brantley Faulkner and greatnieces, Gabriella Mims, Kylie & Rebecca Phelps; precious children that he helpedraise from the Meeks, Wells, Payne and Lawson crews, Emma Joe, Gatlin, Cobi Jo,Clancy, Lenora, Kaydon, Maddie, Zane and Katie as well as their many friends whose lives he touched. Terry was a jack of all trades and never shied away from a good side job, fromdriving a personnel bus for the Refinery Turn Around Crews to refereeing HighSchool Football games. He was always busy doing something. He loved tendingto his farm and cattle and spent much of his spare time helping friends with anyproject. Terry and Rhonda were avid travelers and enjoyed many adventures allover the world with friends and family, lovingly called The Herd. While Terry andRhonda did not have children of their own, they were parents all the same. Theirhome was a haven for kids old and young. Terry himself was the biggest kid atheart. His many sayings, antics and laughter will be forever remembered by thosethat loved him. Terry was as dependable and loyal as they come in every aspect of his life fromstart to finish. He was your first call in a pinch and never failed to save the day. Hehad an incredible sense of humor, and was always up for a good prank or joke. Hehad a knack for telling stories and always left everyone in the room with a smile. There is only one fitting way to sum up your life Terry,You were truly one in a million. You were a legend. You will live on for generations to come in the hearts, minds and stories of yourfamily, friends and the many kids whose lives you have touched. Funeral Services for Terry Lee Walker will be 10 am Wednesday November 8th ,2023, at the Milo Baptist Church with Mr. Dillon Payne and Pastor Mike Johnstonofficiating. Interment will be at the Ringling Memorial Cemetery with theassistance of Denny Meeks, Coby Wells, Zac Cox, Jacob Herrington, Brad Mize Jr,Brett Mize, Shawn Lee and Jackie Lee acting as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearerswill be the Springer Fire Department, ODOT- District 7 (Murray, Carter & LoveCounty Crews), Members of the Texoma Football Official Association, along with buddies Dudley Freeman and John Elam.
