Betsy F. Driebelbies, age 83, of Mansfield, PA, passed away at her home on Monday, February 19, 2024. She was born on May 10, 1940, in Wellsboro, PA, a daughter of Kenneth French and Mary (Hurlburt) Valentine. Betsy was the wife of the late H. John Driebelbies, with whom she shared 57 years of matrimony before his death on December 30, 2021. She spent most of her career as a librarian. She had been employed by the federal government, Asaph fish lab, Mergenthaler, and, most recently, the Mansfield Free Public Library. She enjoyed traveling, reading, knitting, crocheting, and spending time with her grandchildren and family. Betsy is survived by her three sons, Vincent Driebelbies of Wellsboro, PA, John (Ruby) Driebelbies of Wellsboro, PA, and Tony (Caryn) Driebelbies of FL; a daughter, Barbara Louden of Wellsboro, PA; six grandchildren, Samantha, Pat (Chelsea), Megan (Ben), Erin, Ryan (Alicia), and Dixie (Mike); six great grandchildren, Jasmine, Anthony, Melanie, Missy, Arlo, and Henry. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Lloyd (Skip) Charles Jacoby, Jr., age 77 of Mansfield, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024. He was born to the late Lloyd Charles Jacoby, Sr., and Esther M Pisle Jacoby on April 22, 1946 in Harrisburg, PA. Skip attended Steelton-Highspire High School, before joining the US Air Force, where he served as combat medic. He later attended Harrisburg Area Community College and earned an Associate's degree in Science. While a student in high school, he was a member of the state championship basketball team and continued to closely follow his alma mater's sporting endeavors throughout his life. He enjoyed keeping up with his high school classmates through reunions, lunches, and emails. While serving in the Airforce as a combat medic in Vietnam, he was the recipient of several awards. Throughout his life after his military service, he was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. He continued to support veterans through his work with Endless Mountain Transportation by driving vets to appointments at the VA Hospital. Family was a priority for Skip. He enjoyed spending time with his siblings, Jack, Jane and June, and cousin Kat in Steelton and Harrisburg, PA, at holiday celebrations where many hands of pinochle card games were enjoyed. In his younger days, he enjoyed spending summers on vacation with his late brother-in-law, Rodney, and his nieces and nephews. More recently, he loved spending time with his grandchildren Jonah, Daniel and Amelia. Skip is survived by his two children, Heather Jacoby Yacovissi and Jonathan Jacoby, his daughter-in-law Rachel Krouse Jacoby, and his grandchildren, Jonah Yacovissi and Daniel and Amelia Jacoby. The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for him during his last illness. Dolores Ann Bennett Jackson

Dolores Ann Bennett Jackson, age 91, passed away peacefully on February 8th, 2024. She was born December 20, 1932 and raised in Wyalusing by her parents Melvin Augustus "Gus" and Bessie P. (Acla) Bennett alongside of her three sisters; Marion Dickes (d), Betty Welles and Linda Atkins. She and her husband Richard Jackson met as teenagers at the Wyalusing United Methodist Church. Richard tended the furnace at the church, and Dolores was the organist. They moved their young family to Mansfield in 1959, where they resided until 2022. She worked at the Mansfield A&P and the Tri County Rural Electric for several years while raising her children. Dolores was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother. Her greatest enjoyment came from caring for her immediate family and friends. She created many wonderful memories for everyone who knew her, including the countless musical memories she made for her family. Dolores was an accomplished musician. She was chosen for the high school state orchestra and state chorus. She attended Ithaca College and later Mansfield University and majored in music with piano the instrument of choice. She played the organ and sang in the choir for the Wyalusing and Mansfield Methodist Churches for years. She taught piano lessons to dozens of aspiring players from her Mansfield home. Dolores was a member of the United Methodist church for more than 50 years. She served on the United Methodist Women's Visitation Committee, was a member of Eastern Star (Worthy Matron of Mansfield, PA) Twilight Chapter and also the Literary Club and Garden Club. Her most enjoyment came from her immediate family and friends, tending flower beds, fishing and of course creating music. Dolores is survived by her three children, Douglas (Claudia Spencer), Judy (Kevin Beckman (d)) and Richard. She has ten grandchildren; Douglas's; Douglas (Kim) Jackson, Jonathan, (Angela) Jackson and Joshua (Megan) Jackson, Judy's; Richard Beckman (Margaret) and Jessicah Beckman (Mark) Richard's; Krista (Nicholas) Greenfield, Megan (Michael) Kitchen, Madeline (Cody) Horn, Aaron Jackson and Zachary Jackson. The thirteen great-grandchildren include: Amber, Spencer, Boston, Landon, Matilda, Lacy, Colton, Rowan, Theo, Jett, Lorelei, Alaina and Jackson. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at the Methodist Church, 67 E. Wellsboro St. Mansfield, PA. A time for gathering will occur at 10:00 prior to the funeral services at 11:00. She was a member of the Old State Road Baptist Church, and enjoyed making ceramics, traveling, square dancing, listening to Bluegrass music, playing softball and other sports, going for walks and hikes, picnics, spending time with family, and watching her grandkids playing sports. Edith is survived by her sons, Mark (Mindy) Lefelhoc of Mansfield, PA and Jamie (Annie) Lefelhoc of Mansfield, PA; brother, Franklin (Joyce) Williams; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was born on February 16, 1941 in Queens, NY, a daughter of William and Mecislausa Helen (Derewianka) Burdian. Elaine was married to James Cecere for 61 years. She was a teacher for Wellsboro School District and a member of Holy Child Catholic Church. Elaine enjoyed flowers, wreaths, drawing, decorating, bears, and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was a proud New Yorker at her core. Elaine also loved the beach and swimming. Elaine is survived by her husband; a son, Matthew Cecere of Vail, CO; two daughters, Gabrielle (Jim) Welch of Mansfield, PA, and Jessica Cecere of Brooklyn, NY; two granddaughters, Abigail and Elizabeth Welch; and a sister, Donna (Angelo) Della Pietra of FL.
