Sophia Jane Prewitt Martin, 74, of Mount Sterling, KY passed away on April 24th in the comfort of her home. She was an ordained minister and housewife, but so much more to so many people. She was preceded in death by her six sisters, four brothers, and her son, Mark. She is survived by her husband, Rev. Elgin Dean Martin, her eldest son, Rodney Dean Martin (Jenny), her daughter, Melissa Martin Easterling (David), and her youngest son, Shannon B. Martin (June). She has 3 grandsons, 1 granddaughter, 3 great-grandchildren, and several bonus grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her funeral will be 2:00 Monday at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals with burial in Machpelah Cemetery. Visitation is 12-2 Monday. In lieu of flowers please donate to your local ministry as that is what she would have wanted.
