Edward Donald Allan, 81, of Aurora CO, passed away on February 21, 2024, in Aurora. Ed was born in Denver, CO to Donald Augustus Allan and Mary Catherine Thomas Bradley Allan on March 23, 1942. He went to high school at Mullen and graduated in 1960 as a salutatorian. He went on to earn a degree in Accounting from Regis College (University). He worked as an accountant throughout his career and in 1987 he went into business with his brother-in-law at Alderman Tool & Die until retiring in 2019. Beginning in 1965 and until present he was a Broncos season ticket holder and rarely missed a game and even attended four Super Bowls. He coached girls fast pitch softball with Regis Jesuit High School and Twisters 18U and A/B league as well as playing men’s fast pitch softball for many years with family and friends. Ed is survived by his wife Brigitte Allan, of Aurora. His children: Greg (Amanda), Gina, Renee (Jon) & Alicia. Grandchildren: Allanna, Nathan, Sarah (Fabio), Miranda, Mason, Henry & Declan. Great Grandchildren: Amberlyn, Rebecca, Xander & Stella. Siblings: Rob (Judy), Aileen (Jim), Mary Jane, Rick (Carol), Randy (Regina) & Willie (Janna). He is preceded in death by his loving grandson Matthew. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 4, 2024: Visitation at 10:30a.m., Recitation of the Rosary at 11: 00a.m, Funeral Mass at 11:30a.m., in the Archdiocese of Denver Mortuary Chapel, Rite of Committal at 12:30p.m., Mount Olivet Cemetery, 12801 W. 44th Ave., Wheat Ridge, CO 80033. Reception to follow at 2:00p.m., Knights of Columbus, 2911 W 104th Ave., Northglenn CO 80234. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Virginia Lee Duvall, 75, of Aurora, Colorado passed away unexpectedly at her home in Aurora, Colorado.Virginia Lee was born August 16, 1948, at Audubon, Iowa to Harlan “Jack” and Mildred (Lincoln) Duvall. The family moved to Atkinson, Nebraska and then to Ord in 1960, where Virginia graduated from Ord High School in 1966. Following high school Virginia continued her education at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln where she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Teaching. She went on to teach English at DeWitt and Palmer, Nebraska. In the mid 90’s Virginia moved to Denver, Colorado. While in Denver, she worked as a paralegal for the State of Colorado Transportation Department and retried in her early 60’s.During the late 70’s, Virginia served in the Peace Corp for two years in Tunisia teaching English and French. She enjoyed participating in the Sweet Adeline’s singing group; quilting, sewing, crocheting and reading.Survivors include three brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and Nancy Duvall, Arthur and Tanya Duvall and Lester and Ninette Duvall; a sister, Linda Freeman; and numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Donna and Rose; and a brother-in-law, Richard Freeman. Ms. Duvall’s wishes were to be cremated. She will be laid to rest in the Ord City Cemetery following a private family gathering.

Mario Suarez was born in Fremont Ohio to Gilberto and Hortencia Suarez on November 24th, 1953. He passed away due to complications from liver cancer on February 10th in Aurora, Colorado.He met his wife Ann Suarez in his hometown of Casa Grande, AZ in 1974 and they were married in 1976. In 1979, they moved to Aurora, Colorado where they made a home and raised their three children, Miguel, Mario, and Teresa. Mario worked as a mechanical designer throughout his life, but his passions were volunteering as a Scout leader and spending time with his six grandchildren. As a Scouter, he volunteered for nearly 40 years, earned his Wood Badge, participated in Order of the Arrow, and received many awards including the Silver Beaver award.Mario is survived by his wife Ann, his brothers Gilberto Suarez (Cynthia) and Daniel Suarez (Jennifer), his Sister Maria Davis (Gregory), his children Miguel (Amber), Mario (Tasha) and Teresa (Nathan), and his six grandchildren Sam, Jack, December, Drea, William, and Kayla.A celebration of Mario's life will be held at Fairmount Cemetery at 11:00 AM on the second of March.

Lawrence Polidore Sr. was born on January 5, 1937, to Leon and Pearl Polidore in Franklin, Louisiana. They later moved to Orange, Texas. Lawrence, also known to many as “Dizzy,” was always very laid back and a joy to be around. Lawrence attended Mount Calvary Baptist church as a kid along with his parents and siblings, Alma, Amos and Rosetta. He also attended Emma H Wallace from elementary through high school. He is a member of the class of 1955. After high school he enlisted in the US Army. When he returned to Orange, he worked at Livingston Shipbuilding and a carbon black company. Later in life when he relocated to Denver, Colorado he started a career as a security guard in which he retired. While attending Wallace High school he met and later married Shirley Dennis. Together they have three children. Lawrence Jr., Daphne, and DeShawnda. In his pastime, he enjoyed watching sports. He loved to cheer on his Dallas Cowboys, Denver Broncos, LA Lakers and Denver Nuggets as well as listening and dancing to all types of music and making memories with friends and family. Lawrence entered into his eternal rest on Monday, February 5, 2024 at University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora, CO. Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents and sister Alma. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Shirley, his son Lawrence Jr, daughters Daphne and Deshawnda, his siblings Amos Polidore and Rosetta Kyle (Jay). His grandchildren, DizTorsha Lavan (Ray), Brittani and Bryanna Polidore, Eriel Jordan and Markee Hudson Jr. as well as a host of relatives and friends.
