"Simon Finley Dotson, age 22, departed this world on April 18, 2023 and entered eternal rest in the arms of Jesus. Simon was born February 12, 2001 in Norton, VA to Amanda Stone Yates. He was a graduate of Ridgeview High School, class of 2020. He was living in Ocklawaha, FL and was employed there with Jacobs Sanitation in Leesburg, FL. Simon was preceded in death by his paternal grandmothers, Judy Browning Mullins, Debbie Hill and special cousin Jeremy Ryan Rose. Survivors include: Parents- Amanda Jane Stone Yates and Tony Yates Sisters- Molly Marie Dotson (fiance Austin Sutherland), Lucy Claire Yates, and Saydee Yates Brother- Oliver Theo Yates Nephew- Crue Beckham Sutherland Girlfriend- Olivia Maria Savu - Ocklawaha, FL Grandparents- Doug and Linda Stone, Shirles Hill, Charles Ray Dotson, and Jackie Mullins Aunt- Robin Johnson (Junior Johnson) Cousins and friends- too many to mention Visitation will be Tuesday, April 25, 2023 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Mullins Funeral Home Chapel with services beginning at 7:00pm with officiant Tommy Austin. Burial will be on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at 1:00pm at the Stone Cemetery in Skeetrock, VA. Mullins Funeral Home and Staff are serving the family.
