Edith (Edie) Ann Still Hudson, 85 of Greenville, South Carolina passed away on Friday, November 24, 2023, at Greenville Post Acute Care. Edith was born on August 10, 1938, in Barnwell County, S. C. She received her Medication Administration Certificate from Alvin Junior College in Texas. She also worked as a Certified Nurse's Aide in various nursing homes. She had a passion for caring for elderly women. She loved children, dancing, cooking, gardening, collecting angels, going to the beach, fishing and her dog Pepper. She is preceded in death by her parents; Edgar and Estell Still, Sisters; Bonnell and Barbara, Brothers Coleman and Roy and a brother-in-law Raymond and Pepper. She is survived by her five children; Karen Uldrick (Roger) of South Carolina, Christopher Hudson (Debbie) of Texas, Terry Betterton (Jeffery), Judy Jones (Wayne) and Patty Morgan (Shane) of Alabama. Siblings: Florence Folk, Collis Still (Delores), Linda Still (Rock) of South Carolina. Edie had 23 Grand Children, 45 Great-Grand Children and one Great-Great Grandchild. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Hillcrest Baptist Church, 4384 Williston Rd. , Windsor, SC 29856. Mr. Vern peacefully passed away at home on Wednesday, November 22, 2023. Born in Lyons, GA, he was the son of the late Mack Hudson. He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. Vern worked for DuPont and retired from Savannah River Site as an E and I mechanic and was also a Master Electrician. He enjoyed being in the outdoors whether he was camping, fishing, riding his tractor or gardening, he loved being outside. He was an amazing Grandpa and Great Grandpa who loved his family dearly. He also loved his animals, his dog, Bear and just recently lost his beloved, Mumbles. He was a U. S. Army Veteran having served in Vietnam. Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Donna Faye Lowe Hudson of the home; a daughter, Ginger (Malcolm) Reese-Wigley of Savannah, GA; grandchildren, Kristina Mitcham, Michael (Erika) Maciel, and Tiffany (Dalton) Rutledge; great grandchildren, Wyatt, Luke, Cooper, Audrey, and Caiden; along with a number of cousins that loved him dearly. Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston with the Reverend George Still officiating. Burial will follow in the Springfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 p. m. until the time of the service at the funeral home on Wednesday and all other times at the home of Julia Mae and Wesley Fail, 705 Saturday Road, Blackville, SC. Mrs. Chavis passed away at MUSC Orangeburg on Sunday, November 19, 2023. Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Conner Fail, Jay Fail, Lavern Fail, Rex Fail, Toney Fail, Bailey Furtick, Matias Morales and Christopher Myers. Born in Barnwell County, SC she was a daughter of the late Clarence Williams and Maybelle Chavis Williams and was married to the late James Richard Chavis. Mrs. Chavis worked in the Sanding Department for Talley Corbitt for 20 years then later went to work for Ducane for the next 10 years before she retired. She was a faithful Member of Pine Hill Free Will Baptist Church of the Pentecostal Faith and a member of the Adult Sunday School Class. She will be remembered as the "sweet one" by her family and friends. Survivors include a dear niece Julia Mae (Wesley) Fail of Blackville, and numerous other nieces and nephews that she dearly loved; a sister-in-law Pansey Williams Chavis of Springfield; numerous great nieces and nephews that loved her. Born in Barnwell County, SC he was a son of the late John LaFayette Ingram and Marie Starns Ingram. Randy attended South Aiken Baptist Church, worked at the Savannah River Site for Wackenhut in Security then later went to work as a subcontractor driving big trucks for the United States Postal Service. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, he was on a competition archery team and also went out to New Mexico for shooting competitions where he placed several times. He could shoot and build almost any gun there was. Survivors include his loving companion, Pam Reyes; children, John Robert (Staci) Ingram, Lindsey Ingram, Rachel (Charles) Peek, John "Randall" Ingram, Jr. , and Hayley Ingram; sisters, Karen Kirkland and Margaret (C. The family will receive friends on Monday, from 2:oo o'clock PM until the time of the service at the church. Calvin retired from Savannah River Site where he was a Reactor Operator Supervisor. He loved Fried chicken and sweet tea, and he loved to hunt and cook. He was a jokester who just loved to make people smile and have a good time, he enjoyed listening to classic rock and watching sports but especially loved to watch the Game Cocks play. Gene affectionately referred to Sylvia as "the boo". She was a member of Colston Branch Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She loved to shop and travel and had a great love for animals. Sylvia had a great personality and loved to "joke around" with her family and friends. Her friendship will be missed by all who knew her. Box 409, Williston, SC 29853. Mrs. Joyce passed away on Monday, November 6, 2023. Born in White Pond, SC, she was a daughter of the late Tillman Albert Williams, Jr. and Madie Lee Youngblood Williams. She was married to the late Louie Don Grice for 54 years until his passing in March of this year. She retired from Shuron Continental after working for a number of years. She was a faithful member of Rosemary Baptist Church where she served in many different capacities throughout the years including custodian, Sunday School teacher, was active in the WMU and previously taught Vacation Bible School. For 32 years, she sang in the church choir and was the Sunday School secretary for 12 years. She loved her church and her friends at the church; she was always willing to lend a helping hand wherever she was needed. She loved working in her yard with her husband, Don. Survivors include her brother and sister-in-law, Richard H. and Kim Williams; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jr. and Sara Grice and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Betty Jo Still, known as "Moma Jo" passed at 91 years of age at her home surrounded by her family. Born in Fayette County, Alabama she was a daughter of the Late William and Cora Treadaway Campbell and was married to the late James Still. Betty Jo was an active member of Friendship Baptist Church for most of her life and retired as the Industrial Sewing Instructor from the Barnwell County Career Center. She was a woman of many talents. She loved cruising, sewing, cooking, Alabama, gardening and her flowers. She enjoyed playing softball, quilting, the beach, her family and her church. Her ministry as a Christian was the humbleness and grace she showed to everyone. But most of all she loved being Moma Jo!! Till we meet again Moma Jo!! We love you!! Survivors include her daughter, Denise (Joe) Sharpe; her sons, Bobby (Amy) Still and Ricky (Tammy) Still all of Barnwell; grandchildren, Garyn Still, Tanner Still, Derrick (Lauren) Still, Valerie (Hunter) Dowis, Emily (Seth) Hunter and Daniel Sharpe; her great grandchildren, Sawyer & Charleigh Jo Still, Walker & Wyatt Dowis and Madilyn & Mason Hunter; and a number of nieces and nephews.
